Wine, Women and Self

By Alistair Begg | www.truthforlife.org
This study of the Book of Esther with Alistair Begg “zooms in” on the specific historical events that will lead to her becoming a queen. The king's temper, the words and attitudes of his nobles and servants, the laws and traditions of Medo-Persian culture - God's providence worked in all these to bring about His will in preserving the Jewish people. We too must trust in His providence in our daily lives.

After listening to this sermon, hearing about a king from centuries ago. I think how rulers and people seem to change. But, never really do. It's a timeless story.

Pastor Berg,. This so informative. I have heard many expositions of this event in the Bible and had not been satisfied with it's explanation until you came along. Thank you so much. Good be praised.

The providence of God is a great mosaic. God is the most present when He seems to be the most absent. General theme throughout the Bible. We are not a cosmic chemical accident. We have a noble destiny. At God's right hand we have a Savior.

Thank you for posting these sermons. I listen to you almost daily on BOT Radio Network and regard your sermons as a central part of my church life as I am often without a church to attend. I need to find one that provides the Bible based insight you share. Amen.

How do I find the radio station you're listening to for these sermons? I listen to them every day, sometimes more than one. I'm not often in my car but the christian station I can find isn't always on a subject I'm comfortable with. I know, there are many different thoughts on faith but would love to be able to access more sermons of & like pastor Begg. Thanks

The battle pastor Begg is referring to, is that the 300 Spartans at Thermopylae battle?

Be careful Satan disguises himself as an angel of light his ministers as ministers of light so Let God’s word be true and all humans liars...ALL things, honor & dishonor, work together for good for those that love Almighty God.
