If you're spending that much on your wine, and have a relatively sizable collection, it sort of makes sense to document when you consumed what. Sure, you could journal it all, but this is more no-fuss solution, depending on the archival feed storage policy (I'm guessing it's on-premises NAS).

While this may indeed be a rich person, most workers here in Norway can afford a wine cellar if they actually wanted it. A friend of mine has a sauna and a gym. So either that means everyone is rich, or it means that the country you are in is organized so that only a few get everything.

It obviously wasn't installed correctly. It's a wine wrack it holds as many bottles as it can. The weight of the wine pulled it away from the wall because it wasn't properly anchored to the wall.

I think it wasn't fastened properly. He probably didn't use plugs in the wall and the shelf must've hung forwards slightly. So, if you have screws that are in plaster or something similar, without extra support, and you constantly have this weight and more weight put on and taken off, so the shelf moves, your screws will start to loosen. That's what I think happened. They started to scrape away the material and eventually gave away.

I think he was smart - broken glass all over the floor and even if he was in there he wouldn’t be able to catch or grab more than one bottle at a time. If he’s insured it’s better to wait!

Enough money to have a wine wall built. Not enough money to have wine wall built properly. On the bright side, he could sue the builder. If a properly built house can stand for centuries, a properly built wine wall should do the same. If you put enough work into just about any load-bearing structure it will stand until the materials rot.
