Windrock Trail 39 Carnage| X3 Blown Smart Lok Diff | KRX Broke Axle | RZR Flop
Trail 39 at windrock park is always hard on us! This trip the canam x3 on 32" roxxzillas broke the spider gears in the smart lock (smart lok) differential, the kawasaki krx on 35" k9 canine super grip tires broke a front axle, and josh with the 2021 rzr turbo s velocity flopped his on his side!

We have 8 units in our group. Razors and a Talon 1000R . Everybody runs Rockzillas. The Talon runs XT300s There is nowhere the Rockzillas can go that the XT300s can’t, but There is plenty of places The XT300s can that the Rockzillas can’t. I will say that the Rockzillas shine on slick rock over the XT300s, but everywhere else, I’ll choose the XT300s. Great video!!! I all ways enjoy.

I did in this trip but idk if they got it on camera. once I get my new cage which will relocate my winch I will feel better about getting in it, cause then if I have to change the diff input shaft on the trail I wont have to remove my winch so I can have it swapped in 15 min.

And of coarse vs the coyotes. From seeing other rigs with them they seem to like the desert/dry rock stuff vs slick. Just an observation of coarse, haven’t ran them or a sxs for that matter but being in the off-road world you can roughly gauge how well a tire can/can’t perform by tread pattern and watching similar rigs taking the same line (similarly setup of coarse). As you all know compound is a huge factor as well with a sticky vs non etc etc.

What's the major dfferences between the Smart Lok modules? My Xrs has trail & trail active.. The description on Can-Am website is very vague. should I have got the rock module? Or perhaps the mud module? I just want the ability to do full lock. I know the rear is always on & Im aware you can full-lock the front. So what exactly do the different smart lok modules achieve?

@@BlownBudgetOffroad correct, but Justin made the comment that “that’s the downside to can am” when in reality his springs have just settled more then Billy’s. Love the videos, keep them comin!

Y’all need to run less psi in your tires. 5-8 psi for them rockzillas….

Man I want to like the KRX, but it just seems to be so sluggish, belly out easy, and everyone I watch seems to break something. It just seems more utility than sport, and I'm just not that impressed with it. Not to mention they sound rough, belts squealing, horrible engine note. Sucks, because I want to like it, because its cheaper than everything else. But I guess you get what you pay for

I have one. They won't set speed records since they are heavy and lack turbos, but they are excellent rock crawlers and have a very comfortable ride. I call this one driver error.

@@ojtamayosr yeah, maybe, but they changed up the belt design for a more "smooth" engage, and I see people squealing belts in low with stock wheels and tires. And, it seems to belly out very easily. It might be a good crawler for maybe an older person, but imo it doesn't seem on par with the Talon, RZR, Can Am

@@GERONIMO326 I had a a turbo Can Am, which I loved, until I tried the KRX. If you want raw speed but not much else, Can Am turbos are the way to go, If you want a machine that can deliver a controlled ride in a technical trail the KRX delivers. The guys in the video seem to think raw power is the only way to conquer obstacles. I used think the same until I knew better. BTW, my belt has never squealed and the belt temp gauge always shows to be running cool.

@@ojtamayosr I'm not talking about speed. But unfortunately the Turbo S RZR, Turbo RR X3 not only come with almost 200 hp, but 2.5 and 3.0 fox shocks in the back (best in the business) bigger everything including a arms, trailing arms, high clearance radius rods, and they have a good amount of tech as well. They are just so capable. Whether you want to admit it or not, weight, hp, and ground clearance plays a HUGE part in technical riding, especially when you need to climb over that ledge, or get up that huge hill. Even the Talon, being gear on gear, with 32 inch tires, and the i4wd does exceptionally well. Even the guys at shock therapy said the Talon, is a Billy goat in the rocks and probably is the best rock crawler on the market. And it's not slow, and rides well too, well the R does not the X lol.

@@ojtamayosr I've also heard alot of ppl having trouble with their KRX on forums, and videos, output shafts, belts, etc. And as far as reliability goes, they're all junk. But I have to admit, the Talon is automotive grade almost, and was nominated the most reliable sxs on the market. And I'm not a big fan of Polaris, but the Turbo S, is pretty darn beefy, and seem durable and reliable. I have a lot of friends that have them, and have heard nothing but good. Dont know much about Can Am reliability, but heard they are pretty good. Not a good taste in my mouth with the KRX reliability so far..

The yxzs were on light 30” tires, with way less power and broke the most lol blew diffs, axles, engines, ect so not quite but I get people like what they ride, no problem with that.
