Windrock Trail 16 in a Stock 2019 Jeep Rubicon Badge of Honor
Windrock Trail 16 is rough. Don't believe them when they tell you it is flat and graded out due to the Pipeline work. Its hard to see in the video how bad some of the rocks and ruts were. The camera seems to flatten out the look of the trail but I assure you, it's rough on a Stock Rubicon but we made it!

You guys are bad asses! stock jeeps with kids on board on a sick trail. I'm impressed! What an adventure.
Been there, done that. 2 years ago with my stock Rubicon 2019 2 door. No spotters. Been going off road since 1984 with my C J 7, which I still have.
Great video. That tree you winched from is scary. Lol.

MrJeepmed yeah. It has been used a few times huh? Lol
id say that stock Rubi did a nice job, quite a machine. Cool video
We did that trail at night 5 days after y’all did it. Fun times...

Matt Tipton stressful at times but I’m glad we did it. Our Jeep is lifted and has 37” tires on beadlocks now. It would definitely be easier now. Haha.
A bit late on my comment but thanks for the video. Thinking of a trip down there in August and I wanted to see what I'm getting myself into
Nice, man. Time for some upgrades, gets very addictive.

Yeah. It’s lifted, geared and on 37’s with bead locks now. 16 isn’t an issue for it at all.
Great job

Thanks! I know we were rookies then and probably sounded ridiculous at the time but we wanted anyone new to off-roading to see that it can be done.
That trail looks beast.

It was definitely comical looking back.
Fun video to watch. Which direction did you run this, south west to north east or reverse?
@LJ_AF

Hey Richard! Thanks. It was an experience for sure. We ran it from South to North. We took trail 2 to Trail 16. Hope that helps!
I wheel with a bunch of idiots who do this as a night ride...looks fun. Side note, get a winch blanket and keep the kiddos back from the area. If the cable snaps, it's like a gun going off; it doesn't care who is in the way.

Rich Wyatt I have a winch blanket but we unfortunately didn’t use it. Need to get better at that. Thanks for the comment. I like to ride during the day to get better camera footage.

Looks like a synthetic rope so no winch blanket really needed.
It was on our list but after hearing about washouts from rains not sure it's still a good idea for our mostly stock 2006 Grand Cherokee.

I drove it last week. I live in knoxville. I have a 2003 tj rubicon 33 with 3 inch lift . It was tuff and washed out right now . I mean it is spring to be expected. But no running cable
Was this your first time off roading like this? I only say that because this sounded like me when I did Dickey Bell lol!

Yes it was the first time in many years. And in a stock Jeep that was over 50k. Lol!
The part that you had to be winched up was still trail 16?

Yep. Trail 16. There is a bypass for that section now.
Is this a free public road? Or private?

Trail 16 stock with street tires in yellow jeep was not a good idea. I guess they figured that out about half way thru . Cudose for doing it. Did you do any damage. Put some 33 with a 3 inch lift and still a great daily driver and you won't have any issues on 16. That is what I have on my 2003 tj rubicon and it is also k y daily driver. Tires and lift are a must of you off road.
@LJ_AF

It definitely wasn’t the smartest decision but we made it. No damage on 16. The yellow Jeep got a little bit of damage on 51 but he did surprisingly well on the 31” duellers. We just did 16 again a couple of weeks ago with a lift, 37’s and bead locks. Definitely easier this time around and no winching.
