It's from an internal build of Windows 10 that was accidentally leaked to insiders alongside 2 others. I think it may have been a predecessor to Windows 10X or 11

Full screen Start menu is an option in all released versions of Windows 10.

I thought this is gonna be a more comprehensive video. Especially after you started with 9879, which was the 1st build to include the new "Continuum" Start menu, and which you didn't show. iirc, that one had the ability to show vertical tiles

given that build was internal and pushed to some insider branches somehow, it probably is windows 11 but just more primitive

What's the "Configuration" app? Also, the icon for MSN Money has already been changed in newer versions. It as well as the discontinued MSN Sports app isn't preinstalled in newer versions of Windows 10 though.

@@generixer6250 they stopped bundling msn apps after 2015.. The msn apps (I think) no longer get updates anymore.. Microsoft wants you to use the msn apps on a browser

To maintain compatibility with older websites and intranet sites that require ActiveX and other Microsoft legacy web technologies. A lot of companies use IE in order to make the intranet and work on one browser. IE is their choice because it is the default browser for Microsoft machines. It is rather expensive to support multiple browsers.

Windows 1.0 didn't introduce the Start menu. The Start menu was introduced in Windows 95.

You also can use Windows 10 LTSC iOT 2021 and that can extend updates until 2032 if you don't Want Windows 11

OSes were never built from scratch. You take the previous version as a base at the beginning and then make changes. You can go to BetaWiki to learn more about betas.

@@generixer6250 Yes. That's Why Windows 10 build 9780 looks like Windows 8.1 until Windows 10 build 9900 but the Titlebar caption still looks like Windows 8.1 until Windows 10 build 9913. Windows 10 build 9913 is more different

Prior to Build 9907, it was possible to use the full-screen menu if you don't like the regular one. This feature was later removed in favor of a new menu with fully working tiles from Windows 8.1.
