IT SUCKS ! No "next" and "previous" buttons on the side of the screen. How such a simple feature has been eliminated is beyond me. Your video is nice and well presented. I am trying to find out how to roll back.

I have tested every media player I can find looking for the best playback of 4K HEVC videos. This includes VLC, Chrome, Windows Media Player and the new Media Player. By far, Media Player is my first choice. VLC produced stuttering playback even on a very high-end machine with GPU. Media Player produced a smooth playback with no artifacts and no dropped frames all while using the least resources.

Can't play MKV videos in this new Media Player, any solution?

Like Groove music it is crap and has exactly the same faults. It still can't recognise numerals in all the sort options and treats them as text. Updating info is erratic, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, adding a cover image sometimes never works. I'm still sticking with Windows Media Player which has greater functionality.

Is there codes for a 2024 media player WIN 10? I an having so much trouble with mine, keeps saying I need new codec for my player !! ??

This is weak than wmp 11 or 12 because it doesn't have sound enhancement such as crossfading effect i hope they add this feature at the future.

The package requires OS version 10.0.22000.346 or higher on the Windows.Universal device family. The device is currently running OS version 10.0.19045.2251. (0x80073cfd) I got this error trying to install it. I'm on the latest Windows 10 so I don't know what version that is. So it doesn't work I'm afraid. Will have to wait.

When I click on the file nothing happens, no download at all. Only got it to download with Firefox, but it fails, saying it's not compatible. 22H2 latest Windows 10 update.

The old one is still on your PC, just go through the app list and you will see it

its just been forcefully updated to where i cannot use the old version anymore. even says this app doesnt work for this version of windows. insane@@WCT

The new Windows Media Player (not Groove) is horrible. It's a bare bones, awkward, authoritarian design with minimal settings and lots of problems. It's pretty much like Windows 11.
