Nice tip! I line all my coconut coir with plastic garbage bags for moisture retention which had been working great and I use those watering bulbs which also really help, but I found that switching to a mix of geraniums and petunias which are surprisingly drought tolerant and heat tolerant I don’t have any problems at all and my flowers last the entire season!

That's such a great tip! It definitely makes a difference to choose plants that aren't super "needy"
How did this work out. Did the plants draw from the diaper or did the diapers take the moisture from the soil?

They actually worked pretty well. This year I did replace the liners (they were way old), and switched to some that are burlap with a waterproof liner. Sooo much better.

@@homegrownhopes good to know. Thanks. My window boxes dry out sooo much. I spoke to a few people about this diaper method and I was looked at like I had three heads. But this seems to be a fairly popular practice
