Great video..thanks for that. Just bought my Browning maxus 2 which is very similar. Nice to see the winchester version. Mine is the black gold ( birds) version, composite stock 2+1 for the UK. Only shoot clays but very happy with it. Did like your wood stock though.

Thanks for the review, a nice walnut stocked version. I was considering one recently, but chose a synthetic stock version instesd, with a three inch chamber. You mentioned 3.5 inch shells. While some sx4's have a 3.5 inch chamber. I've checked the Winchester website. The wood stocked version only has a three inch chamber. The chambering specifications are on the barrel.

Thank you very much for the comment! Really the synthetic version is also great and very reliable especially in the woods, you don’t have to worry about your wooden stocks getting scratched. I might have made a mistake and said 3.5” chamber (it comes 3” stock) however Winchester and other small stores/companies sell after-market barrels with 3.5” chamber length. Thank you for mentioning!

It’s a shame they went cheap on the super x series. I’d love to find a SX3 in good shape for a reasonable price. I have a browning gold hunter 3 1/2 12ga. I love it l, it’s basically a SX3 but with all the browning goodies like the mag stop and speed load feature. But the gas system is essentially the same. I’ve had 3 SX4’s and really wanted to like them. The thing that ultimately made me sell them was the lack of cast and drop spacers. Length of pull is okay but had they come with spacers to adjust cast and drop I would still have one.

Wow 3 SX4s… I guess then the SX4 is just not for you. Some guns are just meant to be! 😂 But I do have to say the SX3s are not less better. To this day, great guns that hold their value. The only thing is that they are pretty hard to find and your best bet is the used market.

Why would you leave the sticker on the barrel? I see that a lot. That seems ridiculous to me.

Please tell me how you get it to shoot straight on a Center Target and not up to the Left and High? Added Shims and cannot get it to shoot Center? What are we doing wrong??

Alright! So the way you have to think about this is that the barrel is an extension of your eye. When you line up the sights, your eye, the front sight and your target should all be aligned on a single point and what that does is whatever your looking at is what you will hit. Once you’ve established your eye dominance, whether it is your left or right eye (which may be the problem in your case), you must mount the gun (hold it in other words) on the side of your dominant eye. If your cross dominant (meaning your left eye is dominant but you are right handed), then I would recommend that you mount the gun on your dominant eye side for precise shots. If not, then you must close your other eye so that way you are only looking at it with one eye (this will help with not getting confused and shooting with the side that the eye is open).
