However they probably get paid something just for being on the show kinda like Judge Judy etc. Okay that being said, I love the fact that FF doesn't use the studio audience, they actually have people call and ask the questions. I think this would be hilarious job but also it's frightening to see what the American people intelligence level is

UK hasn't had prize cars on a game show since the 90's. Kind of a budget thing. You can win them in TV competitions but that's funded by thousands ringing and texting in.

Besides that, easier for paying the tax, too. (For non-Americans: all winnings are subject to income tax, whether cash or the value of the prizes. Many times people have to sell their prizes to raise the cash to pay the tax on them!)
