    Love the advice to use the tactic selectively and linkage to where the serve needs to go. Any chance you could do a follow up that addresses the ability of the server to put pace on his/her serve (since we're talking club level play)? Thanks

    Very illustrative and didactive as well thks so much again dear Ashley , by the way will be very valuable if you can make a video in the right moment when the opponent move the legs to make the drill and to poach or cover the ally during the rally will be very useful too have a nice weekend !😊

    Thanks for the suggestion, are you asking for drills to practice these skills?

  • @oreb05

    Yes, to forsee the opponent movement of legs when he is going to guide his drill as leisure players we don't have the sensitivity to anticipated that and it's core to move and place in the right spot in the court thks so much to take your time for your kind reply cordially / E

    Will definitely talk this over with my mixed team! Is that the prestige you are using? Is that your primary racquet of choice or just using for your video?

  • @TheTennisMentor

    Great, to build confidence, they’ll be good ones to practice if when the stronger server is serving for your pair and when the weaker opponent is returning. I’m testing the prestige and love it, however, my frame of choice is the Speed Pro

    When you poach shouldn’t you also go closer to net strap rather than just laterally?

  • @TheTennisMentor

    @TheTennisMentor

    7 ай бұрын

    Yes, good comment… when volleying you should always aim to ‘close’ the net (move forward) especially if you’re starting a little deeper.

    as much you covered the targets for serve (T-serve, wide serve), I missed to see you are discussing the volley (poaching) targets? Where should I aim? what is my target when FH-Volley Poach and what is my target when BH-Volley poach?

  • @TheTennisMentor

    @TheTennisMentor

    7 ай бұрын

    I think I cover that in my poaching video… but, depending on how far across you make the poach: you want to aim through the middle or down at the volleyers feet. The key is keeping it low!

    is it harder for a left-handed player to do this since the poach would be with my backhand?
