Would be really interested to see how a high-rated chess player takes to shogi, especially if they've never played it before. The game has a few more pieces than chess, and when you capture your opponent's pieces you can put them back on the board and use them yourself, so the game gets more crowded and complicated as it progresses. (Video idea suggestion.)

I think black's opening in the second last game was prep. I've faced something similar in blitz a few times, usually with e5 f5 right away. The idea is to either get a quick pawn storm going down that side or clog the h1-a8 diagonal to interfere with your good bishop. It's not great but in blitz when you're not expecting it there is some danger there for white.

Hey, that was me playing! I have prep in the Sicilian where I play 2.nh3 and no prep against the English so I just played the reverse of my Sicilian prep! And yeah, you pretty much got my idea spot on there!

Would love to see you use an analysis engine after the games to quickly confirm your thoughts on some of the best moves that you were unsure of. Great video. Edit: I see you used it, i just didnt see the graphic of it.

My favorite of your series. And I do watch till end. Those are the best games. Waiting for 21. Kind of wish you played a Sicilian and not the Bishop on G7. More of a classical Sicilian and maybe throw in a Ruy Lopez and and an Italian game. Thanks for the great content. Good luck.

Hey! At 15:58, couldn't the opponent just take the pawn with Bxg3 ? If then Nxg3 white plays h6 and promotes... Black doesn't need to take the bishop back and is still winning, but has lost a pawn (Great video btw)
