A very sad meeting for all which was the last ever banger meeting to be held at Wimbledon stadium back in 2017. The pre war stadium has been knocked down for more flats in London! Despite this, the drivers put on a great show in a large selection of classic and modern motors. One of the highlights was Pikey's huge t-bone in his Ssangyoung in the DD which was the very last crash at the stadium!

RIP wimbledon.Had Many years of great racing at this track.Driving through the tunnel onto the track felt special.Thanks for sharing.
I used to attend as a spectator -sad its all gone now. Miss it but don't miss the chilly evenings-fireworks used to be great
Had many a good Banger race there along with the late Alan "Farmer" Tarn, team captain with the Luton banger racing squad early 1980s. R. I. P.
Opinions on the best U.K. banger only event to go to?? Getting bored of standlake arena feel like the crashes aren’t hard enough !

@Charlie Grace A video is on KZread "Chrysler Imperial - Path of destruction". Very educational about how a regular banger car can start to burn instantly... It's sad to not see more of those cars, but I think it's way too dangerous for others drivers.
Now i know why those sangyong things are banned

Jesus those Ssangyong things are brutal, with the engine so far back it's pretty much impossible to destroy them unless you take a wheel off. They must have been banned since then?

I was going to say "all the mk1 granada's, Cambridge etc & jags" that I've seen being destroyed at plough lane when I used to go in the 80's. The first car I see is a Sweeney granada !! I loved hangers at Wimbledon. I wonder if it would have closed if it was a Muslim sport.

Any dog track had a battle on its hands to stay open.Good for dogs welfare but rubbish for speedway and stockcar racing.Shame londons last ever stockcar track.

They should have removed all the spectators...and used the cars to tear down the 🏟 stadium !! THAT would have been even more fun !!! ✌😂😂💥
