Current update as per 12/09/2023 : - Willow skills now consider all Hot Embers in the inventory, not just the stack in use (useful!) - Increased the range Willow’s lighter will absorb fire, smolders and embers (very nice) - Willow’s Combustion skill will activate Burning Burnie (yess!) - Lunar Flame can no longer be channeled while mounted (no more kamehameha while riding like mad cowgirl) - Lunar Flame and Shadow Fire now have a cooldown between casts (Lunar = 20 sec, Shadow = 14 sec) - Fixed number of Embers that dropped from Bosses (from 3 Embers to 7-8 Embers, sweet!) Currently the community in Forum is not happy with the cooldown for Lunar and Shadow Fire, however as this is still beta, I'm sure Devs are gathering feedback and doing tests before finalizing it, thanks for reading everyone, cheers!

I'm on console so I don't have access to the latest release. What do you think of her very latest changes? What skill tree would you max now given your testing? Also does her fire bonus damage work with a beefalo?

@@cheesedust-n3w I'd say it does work. I don't think the skill is worth it personally though, it costs TWO embers AND only lasts for a single minute? That's sooo weak compared to being able to have bernie regenerate hp!

I really liked the single powerful minion that Wendy had, but also the spell playstyle that Maxwell had. I think this Willow skill tree is gonna be really fun for me!

I would've been a Willow main, but she was just SO weak before... Now after this update Willow is literally the PERFECT character for me and I'm a full on Willow main! The fireball alone was enough to make me find Willow to be the most powerful character in the game! Did you know that if you place 3 fireballs on top of each other (ONLY costs 6 embers btw!) that you can get back to full sanity from ZERO in a little under 2 minutes?!

I learned something crazy about Willow that they changed without telling anyone btw, you used to have to drop items one at a time and light them all on fire to get a big sanity gain, but now you can just drop entire stacks of items and the sanity gains stack. So now you can burn a stack of wood till you get about 15 sanity back, put the fire out, then light it on fire again and repeat to get INFINITE free sanity without using up the wood or anything! Willow is BROKEN op now!

Overall i liked it, i would just prefer if they adjusted bernie skill points, and the fact you only burn individually now with the controlled fire spread

@@Wattata888 I just see it as a character downside, and it's really not all that bad for controller users at least. Plus when you're burning down a forest now all that charcoal that falls off won't burn to ash!

I would think of a solution for the controlled burning not spreading is that you can double tap a tree to make the fire burn more.

In this case what would be the best domestication saddle combo? Probably Ornery + Glossemer? Or just rider + gloss ? Distance management becomes a priority but at the same time I don't think you will be spamming lunar fire with like 3 stacks of embers but probably have a combination of Bernie + LF + some hits inbetween.

4:37 Fireball goes out when it's raining, so not so good in spring

The Willow skilltree is really great same goes for Wigfrid hers. Ive allready done a Speedrun with Wigfrid but not with Willow yet but im excitet for the run cause they did a great Job with her skilltree!

i wish you could have both powers at once but it'd be too OP ig so you have to choose whether you want to deal single-target (bosses) or deal AoE (small mobs)

Hi Vinh, you need to play as Willow for at least 5 in-game days, then you will have notification on the top left of the screen (eye icon) that you can learn the skill, btw you are playing on console or PC?

With this update they basically made her Almost wortox

Because, you set enemies on fire for embers, and instead of being limited to 20, there is no limit,and you use the embers by casting spells

The only questionable perks would be Bernies regen. It seems extremely unimpactful and pretty much a waste of points (And we're forced to take it in order to be able to lit him up which is a huge damage boost). On top of that it doesn't work outside of combat.

Yeah agree,, 1hp regen value is so small and work in combat only, unlike Abigail's 1 hp regen everytime and no need any skill to get the regen 😆😅 hope the Dev improve it aaa 😆 btw which skill you like the most? Just curious haha 😄

​@@Wattata888 I've really enjoyed all aspects about her fire powers and utility they provide. I'm still not sure about burning things 50% faster cause I'd prefer 45 seconds of tree burn during cold seasons but she does have a access to fireball unless it's raining. The most interesting skills would be her shadow / lunar fire attacks obviously. I feel like I'd go with lunar one because of aoe + more control + more damage per hot ember so it can be used for bosses with proper positioning and for crowd control and possibly even some of the mob farms. Shadow fire could be useful to cheese bosses similar to Walter except in that case with longer prep time and quicker battle. Compared to anything we've got so far from skill trees these magic powers could be compared only to Wormwood summons cause how cool, unique and deserved they feel as an unlock for beating endgame bosses. The rest of the shadow / lunar skills are just either convenient quality of life additions or a bit of damage/protection numbers there and there which is not as intriguing.

oh wow thanks so much for the detailed sharing bro Krugo, yeah I hope Devs will cancel the 50% faster burning for things as Willow really benefit it during winter aaaa My favorite is also the Lunar fire as its both looks cool and deal higher damage + its AoE 😄, somehow i feel the Shadow fire need to be improved to match Lunar fire's efficiency 😆😅 Glad to read your insight about Willow's new update bro Krugo, will take note of it, cheers! 🍻😄

@@Wattata888 I would say the difference though is that even with Abis best potion she still dies to all bosses in a few hits if you don't manage her well e.g. draw aggro. Bernie especially with planar reduction is a tank. And this is just one bernie! Not two with a sewing kit. I started playing Wendy a lot recently and one of the reasons I wanna switch to Willow is she seems like a more fun and rewarding Wendy that can actually tank bosses almost too well with bernie, and requires a little more skill to use. Wendy's downside is she's boring. Once you get an ornery beef and a war saddle that is pretty much S Tier Wendy. The fun part is dealing 144 dmg per hit under the right circumstances :) Granted , willow doesn't seem that much more complex but at least all her abilities are active and not passive. I wish they would replace that 1hp gen with a "pickup bernie" skill. Though I highly doubt it!

If Maxwell goes insane by summoning 6 duelist i know Bernie will fight them off but will they be hostile to willow? So she can use her lunar flame on them? I can't wait to see the Willow Maxwell combo, six duelist on day one with Bernie and easy beard hair for more Bernies. P.S. Baby and mom is well and we are so happy.

hmm i think the nightmare creatures will be affected by the Lunar flame because Lunar flame is area damage, thats a good question Vol 😄👍will check check it yeah Willow will pair so well with Maxwell, Bernie can be the tank while the Duelists deal tons of damage 😎🔥 Ohhh congratulations Vol! so happy to hear that!! 😍😄😊

The skilltrees still take way to long you should get insight for killing bosses im not putting another 150 bours on one character.And with more skill tree characters it will be like 1,000 hours to fully max it.There is no justifiable reason for it taking this long hopefully they buff the ways you can get insight.

Currently Lunar Fire have cooldown of 20 seconds after use, and Shadow Fire have cooldown of 14 seconds after use, its kinda limiting, but since this is beta, the cooldown might be reduced, lets see, Devs usually listen to players' feedback ☺️

shadow fire is kinda sad when you compare it to lunar fires ngl, so much crowd control and basically means she can stay out of mobs' way, basically abigail but much more range, and with bernie its even safer

Yeah i agree,, shadow fire looks very cool visually but the damage output is kinda low and inconsistent compared to lunar fire. 😅 hope the Developers improved shadow fire or people will mostly choose lunar fire haha 😆 yeahh Bernie is a one big strong tank now 😎😁 btw do you think its better to get Shadow/ Lunar fire or get the Shadow/ Lunar Bernie? 😄
