thats lovely. what kind of canvas is that? aida? what size needle? did i miss seeing that info? i just started needlepoint again after 40 years and i love it but. i am not ready to do this . i wish i had a teacher or needlepoint teacher near me. . are you using the frame sometimes and other times looks like you are holding the canvas out of the frame and scooping instead of p0king and pulling? i like to do the continental stitch with continuous hand held sewing rather than poking and pulling what kind of stitches are you doing? . did you draw the lines on the canvas?

This needlepoint 10point canvas. I'm just using a thick darning needle nothing specific. I like to take the frame off sometimes as I found it quicker to work holding it and to get to the corner ls was easier. Iam doing a tent stitch for this piece. I may have drew the grid out on the canvas and just counted and guessed my way from the pattern I made. I would recommend buying a small kit to get you started it pretty easy gridding up and counting the stitch patterns is the hardest part but if you buy a kit with a printed pattern already on the canvas it's super easy and not tricky.

A week or too but longer cause I was filming the process. Yes I just used a simple 'tent stitch' which is a diagonal stitch. Hope you enjoy your new hobby

I followed a chart I was using once the outlines of specific shapes where stitched in I could just block the colours needed.
