Abby Mortinsen I think some dancers are just more muscular then others and missy Copland has lead the way in changing the way dancers are looked at. These tiny thin ballet dancers just don’t have this type of dancing putting every muscle into motion so we can get the best out of every dance they do.

Possibly racists? More likely, they just hate ballet: they probably think it's effeminate. Either that, or they're classical ballet snobs, who object to ballet techniques being used by modern dance practitioners dancing to a "popular" song. People have all sorts of strange personal tastes.

C'est en parlant comme vous 2 avec vos histoires de" White people" et "Black people" qu'on n'avancera pas. This choreography was beautifully executed by a man and a woman.. It could have also been done by a woman and a woman or a man and a man... just assuming a dancer is “gay” “wanna be girl” is just pathetically small minded and also just showcases the sad reality you live in and have created for yourself.. Maybe you were taught this way and you just don’t know better... but You’ll get there!

Wow, so incredible and I actually LOVED this version of Adele's song. The strength and tone of his voice matched this perfectly and it was so beautiful to hear it sung from a male's perspective. Watching the male dancer and envisioning his inner fragility via the song lyrics was just such an amazing juxtaposition.

You just never see this level of power combined with fluid grace in dance like you see here. I really hope people of all colors explore all kinds of dance. Koreans are fantastic at hip hop (check 1 Million Dance Studio), Hispanics are fantastic at hip hop as well and of course many other kinds of dance, white....well we try.....lol. I always wondered why there were no black dancers in ballet and more graceful styles of dance for so many decades. Probably because they felt "that's a white world and I wouldn't fit in". The only reason you may not fit in is you'd probably be much better than everyone else in your class! And that worries people. Suddenly they're not as good as they thought there were. We all compare our abilities to the people around us. Its human nature and hard to control. We all want to feel accomplished. When someone comes along that is so much better how does one feel? One should feel humbled and ingratiated to that new expert because now they have someone good to improve from/with. Instead many people seek to erase their competition. A wise person once stated that there were 2 ways of having the tallest building in town. One was to build better than the competition and the other is to tear all the others down. We should seek to build ourselves better availing ourselves of all the tools and help we can muster no matter the color or culture. Because that will always result in us performing far, far better. You were probably a gift that class but the teacher just could't grasp that. Sad but it happens a lot.

Bob Hoskins I totally agree with the white domination in ballet for example. But I think too, that professional dance is in every case hard work. An no one can do any style better or dance at all better just because of his or her race. That are stereotypes too... "The russians are great ballet dancers" is a superficial expression. Not every russian can dance, does ballet and those who train are not better then other dancers in the world. Maybe there training is much tougher or their schools have a longer tradition. Thats all. And so there are good companies for hip hop in corea, but thats not because of the fact, they are coreans... they just trained a lot with probably gifted teatchers. ... ;)
