I generally dont care about fade outside. I definitely prefer to have a solid end point. But think of it like this. Hes being swallowed, while screaming "Are you in pain like I am." Hes sliding deeper into the throat of this being. Therefore it grows quieter, slowly fading into nothing.

I'm usually torn between wether i like or hate fadeouts in songs, but I think this one was lazy. Yeah you could interpret it as the singer being swallowed, thus muting his voice. But in that case it would have been cooler of them to fade out the instruments first, leaving the vocalist isolatetd and then do the fade out, or something like that. This fade out just felt like "yeah we don't know how to end the song so let's just fade out". They could definitely play more with the concept of "sliding deeper into the throat of the being", could make for a much cooler and expressive ending for the song

Yeah, I enjoy his voice-break style that often ends some of their songs (High Water, Higher e.g.) however when it comes to a melody I definitely like what has been shown from this new album. I feel like I'm in the minority but I don't like Gods, his voice sounds tiring and like you said, shouty. Vore and The Summoning have a much better sound, I hope we get to see more of his screams from the album when it releases

Yeah, people really underestimate the song to song transitions. Without "The Summoning"'s funk outro, the jump into Granite would be really abrupt, but back to back, it's excellent. I think you are right that a song with a quiet opening is next.

The fade-out had to grow on me, and I'm KIIIINDA hoping that the fade-out is "temporary" as in its gonna have a crossfade into the next track that they couldn't cut with the release of Vore tho I'm a doubtful of that. I def feel u on the fade-out tho in general bc I overall find it to be a very lazy way of ending a song. it's on the same level as ending a book with a "it was a dream all along" instead of actually resolving the conflict lmao

Vore isnt the heaviest song, the screams are cool blackmetalish, but the whole song is the 2. Heaviest next to the summoning, that song and struckture are the heaviest🤘🏼😁

Sleep Token is very miss or hit with me. I like a lot of the things they do. And I think Leo Faulkner vocals is beastly. He really have good vocal control in all the different genres. But there is also some times where it just becomes to much of a break for me in the rhythms of there songs. And I love metal mixed with different types of music, and genres. But sometimes it just feels like sleep token is doing it for shock effect more than a melodic choice. And that sometimes turn me of. This is a personal thing for me. And as said, there is a lot of aspects i really like with them. And Leo Faulkner vocals are next level. And in Vore, I really think they hit the mixes really well. The shifts are clean.
