Coke plus Tide remove oil stains! Don't you ever soak old tools in Coke to clean them? I used the combination to remove diesel stains from Bill's jeans and sneakers. I tossed in all of his stained other clothing as well. Everything came out sparkling clean!!! I think that since it was very nasty with the diesel fuel, I used a whole 2 liter bottle. Look, it's worth a bottle coke, right? Just to learn?

I use a small squirt bottle with a big scoop of oxiclean (more than the directions say for laundry). Shake well and soak the stain with it. You can leave it for 5 to 15 minutes and then wash in hot water. It works for me. Also put the Shout solid on it and leave it a few days. Ice had success there too.

I use oxi clean spray, then Dawn dishwashing detergent and scrub with an old toothbrush. Let it sit for 20 minutes before putting it in the washer. It works 99% of the time.

Dawn with baking soda. Make a paste on the stain. Leave for a while and wash. No nasty chemicals

I use blue dawn and some peroxide and scrub it with a tooth brush.

I’ve had good luck getting stains out with “Goop” hand cleaner and Palmolive!

Julian, I have never had luck with Dawn either. Ex-wife. Did still get rid of that stain tough. Married to a JoDee for 22yrs and still have Dawn under the sink for cleaning stains and dishes. 😅

Dawn on the oil spot let sit for around an hour. Then use biz detergent in an overnight soak. I only do this on items that I’m going to clear $30 profit on.

It's gotta be the blue dawn for the oil stains! Never fails me.

Wet the spot on stain add the dawn leave it on for 8 hours , then add a little water an dawn rub a little more then wash, try Perical laundry soap....😊

Here on the Space Coast of Florida our Goodwill's no longer let you plug things in. The outlets are all covered and at the checkout they won't test anything either. And they got rid of every dressing room.

Our Goodwill stores have prices higher than original store prices most of the time, and usually, we get home and find stains, holes, broken zippers, etc, and our local Salvation Army’s sells shoes, Starting at $20+ and that’s for discount stores’ shoes that don’t sell for that much! We’ve started thrifting at a chain of stores that helps out the special needs community in our area, and we’ve even driven 3 hours to get to a normally-priced Goodwill before! Our biggest flip was from finding (well, my husband actually found it since it’s his eBay store) and I’m just looking at things I like, but he found a vintage, new, with the wrapping still intact, Bam Margera, (from skateboarding and especially from "MTV and JackA**” fame) a flat, skateboard deck that had Bam’s teenage pictures on the tags and a big title with those pictures inside the wrapper ! Sold on EBay auction at $450!! Found at a church’s sale for $15!! If only there were more!

I noticed the prices on new and name brand going up about 3-5 years ago. It sucked the fun out of thrifting for me. I refuse to spend the same amount that I would “new from Walmart or wherever. It is crossing to the “dark side “. I hate it!

Our Goodwills have been ruined for years now. They have no hard good section anymore. The put shelves over the clothing racks and everything is over top of clothes that are sorted by color. All the red with red, blue with blue, black with black, and so on. Makes it impossible to look at sizes. I never look at clothes AT ALL anymore there. And they have been all for Goodwill and not good will for years now. 🙄

I agree if I'm thrifting you should pay what you would brand new if that's the case go buy the new besides thrift stores receive the items free gifted. Do some research goodwill doesn't apply the money to what they did when it first started CEO makes over 100,000.00 close to 200,000.00 in salary a year

My grandson got that dinosaur head for Christmas last year. We have pictures of the entire family wearing it. 🤗

To remove oil stains:use dawn and work in with brush; then cover with peroxide and use brush. Let sit for 30 minutes and wash as usual. Stains gone!

If the material with the stain hasn't been dried after washing use Coke in the washing cycle to get oil stains out.

I use, and i know u will think this is insane, but after i use the dawn before i rinse the dawn out i put zippo lighter fluid on the soapy dawn and scrub. Old stains usually come out in the washing machine . It sounds gross but it airs out, and after washing there is no smell.

I’ve also noticed that goodwill sells a lot of stuff on eBay

I've sold a few of those Jurassic Park Roaring masks and think of you guys whenever I find one. I thought that was a neat old Beretta Jacket. My kids do competitive shotgun shooting and their main Skeet/Sporting Clays guns are Beretta.

The goodwill by me got a new manager. Much needed but he’s taken the store to the dark side. I got a beautiful pair of born clogs for 10. Should’ve been 24.99. He rang me up and said OH! Really loud lol. He knew they missed one. He’s a really nice guy tho.

Stanley Home Products Degreaser Concentrate works great on oil and grease stains. Hope that duck was amazing and Ya'll had a great Thanksgiving!

Honestly I have awesome luck using "Lysterol" spelling might be off and Honestly it smells potent when it comes out of the washer but after drying its brand new. Lol. Had a off white hoodie that I absolutely loved and always managed to get grease on it especially the hems of the sleeves at your hand and couldn't get em out no matter what I did. Until I seen the lysterol in my Mas laundry supplies. Figured why not. After that I absolutely swear by that stuff. Absolutely the best over the counter grease / stain remover.

I went to a family run estate sale and some stuff was real fair. Other stuff they were checking eBay and asking for highest listed price. They had a bunch of nwt Carhartt jackets for $100 each. Selling for $80 shipped! But it was their sale. I still score some fun vintage finds.

I just sold that mallet putter for 30.00, I cannot believe you left the Beretta jacket. That thing had to be an easy 50...

Washing up liquid fairy doses work on grease squeeze on and leave on for a while and wash as normal

Goodwill Minnesota has its own Ebay store.

My wife uses the Dawn power spray On tough stains.

Our goodwills have always been priced separately for clothes. Most of times I can go to other stores and do better on clearance than I can another good will. This is in Oregon.

I love my convertible pants for camping/fishing and kayaking. I originally bought them for a NASCAR race where the temp was in the 100*'s and back then you had to wear pants with pit passes but I wanted shorts for the stands.

I’ve never used anything but Dawn Original. It has taken out every stain including oil stains.

Amway Pre-Wash Spray. Thankfully, you don’t have to listen to the “pyramid” speech when buying anymore. My wife has yet to lose a “Stain Battle” - She’s the Mike Tyson of laundry!

14:59 Evan Picone was sold at Macy’s in the 1980’s & 1990’s. It was the lowest price, most basic stuff they sold.

Evan Piccone has always been a really good brand clothing wise. And much of it was not basic. I recently thrifted an all wool blazer of their's for 7.99. My mom used to buy Evan Piccone back in the day and it was always great quality.

Our Goodwill has been tagging individual items for years. All items are tagged.

Hehe Kayla had a blonde moment. Not an idiot, just a brain fart 😂❤ I live in a mountain tourist town in Northern VA and our Walmart has better prices than Goodwill. All jeans now start at $9.99. Anything with a NEW store tag is priced at 75% (or higher) of the retail price. Also, there’s a manager at our store that looks a ton of stuff up online and will price them at Amazon or EBay prices. I don’t even shop there anymore. I’d literally be making more online doing retail arbitrage at Walmart 🤦🏻‍♀️ And resellers are stealing from the poor… O-KAY
