Conformity Check by UDO MENKE
This A 380 RC Model with 4 operating jet turbines, built to Airbus Specification and drawings,
flew for the first time 2 years before the original Passenger plane.
This video documents the Safety tests taken before the 65 kg model was safety certified to fly.
Following this the successful maiden flight was observed and the full German license for models more than 25 kg was given.
The wing span is app 5.8 meter.
The builder / pilot is Peter Michel from Germany. At that time he had successful built and flown many Passenger Airliner Models such as DC 9, MD 11 and B 737
More uploads of the A 380 and later other planes will follow.
See in ScaleJetFred channel. Have fun to see other RC Airliners is well on ScaleJetFred channel. Thanks for watching!!!

Thanks for watching! At the time the standard frequency in Europe was 35 MHz, This plane flew with a multiple receiver system. Later the receiver system changed to 2,4 GHz. Most large modellers use 2.4 MHz in Europe. Greetings, Fred - see other Airliner models on mu channel: kzread.info

OMG it looks just like the real King of the Skies. I actually had tears in my eyes when it started flying. And the sound of those turbojets, unbelieveable!
Really nice video Fred, the attention to detail is great! bet the ticker was going on that first take off! might have to cross the pond to come to one of these air shows soon! keep up the good work!
What would it be like to be a passenger on that flight? lol. The takeoff was probably pulling 30 g's

Thanks for watching. Peter built this as a "Challenge" after having designed and constructed many Airliner flying models over many years. This also included the twin turbine Concord, it is the basis of Michael Brauer's Fiberglas kit you can see flying on my channel. You are correct: for every day flying we are building smaller planes.

It is an excellent idea to find out what stress the airplane can take BEFORE it flies. It would be sad if you found out it couldn’t take it after it went in the air.

I want you to place a HD FPV camera in the fake cockpit, point it out the front window with a OSD HUD, and make a video of a lap around the pattern. That would be even more stunning. Fantastic accomplishment my man.
AWESOME! I've been into R/C for about 30 years, and that is by far the most incredible model I've ever seen. Thanks for posting this video. I really enjoyed it, and I emailed the URL to all of my family and friends. Cheers from Southern California! -- Scott

Hi Ro-Tang Clan, This and most other Airliner models on my Youtubr channel are constructed from Styrofoan and Balsa woohto keep the weight down. see it here: Peter Michelund andere Airliner builder kzread.info/dash/bejne/Ynp-pqtqYLTeeLw.html Carbon made planes may be lighter, but Carbon is much more difficult to use without proper training.
