Coming back to say- you should stir them before the first use- and anytime they’ve been sitting for a while! Because of so much pigment- it can separate from the gel while sitting for a while- also they aren’t for full cover nails! Just details and linework ❤❤❤thanks so much again for the support!!!!

I love your husband’s reaction. You did a phenomenal job. Think about it. You drew those pictures with your nails super long. That can only happen with pure talent. Putting gelly over silver holo has got to be a money saver. You don’t have to buy a hundred different holo colors. You can put the jellies over black or white to make them solid colors.

Hey i saw Nailzbydev already commenting this too, but make sure to stir them before use! That is always a problem with gel pots, they separate, so to get the best result you need to fully stir them especially before first use!

I looooove Dev’s gels!! They’re so easy to use and the pigment is there, for real. I love her brushes, too. They turned out great!! The Samyang Hot Chicken?! I love it. 😂 It’s infinitely easier to put a layer of matte topcoat on after you color block before you outline. Makes the lines super crisp and it’s a lot easier to draw on. 💜

I do nail art, well art in genral as well and I found that doing all colors and layers from light to dark makes things look sharp and realistic! Always finish with your outline color. If you need an outline for mapping you can use the color of the the area you are drawing.

You did an amazing job. All the prep really worked in your favor! I think even more than the product. It was all you! I think you should keep honing your drawing skills because you have talent and the will to improve.

You knocked these out of the park! Good products wont make you instantly amazing, but they certainly help when you are already as talented as you are! I know that everyone is their own worst critic, but even when things don't turn out exactly like you hoped you should still take pride in it. Most people wouldn't even attempt the things you do. ❤

*I freaking love those nails! Both sets are fantastic!!* 😱❤️ As far as nail art goes, the thing that helped me SO much (ironically) was breaking my dominant hand last year! 😂 Being forced to do everything with my right hand for several weeks, really leveled my game up. Obviously my suggestion isn’t for people to break their hands… But I would highly recommend that you practice writing and drawing with your opposite hand, at least a few minutes every day! Pick a daily quote and a simple drawing (like a heart/smiley face/star/etc) and draw/write it out about 3-4 times. Within a month, you’ll be amazed how much you improve!❤

I use stamping gel polish and saviland paint gel for my art because I was on a budget. They may might not be good products as nails by dev, but I still manage to paint cartoon and anime characters pretty well because I practice a lot. But one day I want to get her products.

Yea dev and ball pit addict say to use lighter strokes and lines on the insides of the faces and use darker bold lines for the outside when drawing characters they also both have a lot of good tips and tricks to do nail art and also have great tutorials for certain characters and the easier way to kind of explain and get the best results!! I love your videos Emily also love Evie videos your both so talented!! Love when you post new videos and have tons of tips and tricks to use to create better nail art thanks so much for that!!! ❤😊

I was hoping you were gonna hit the first color blocking but with a buffer, i usually do that, sometimes after everything I add just to get rid of some texture and to avoid adding too many layers. Of course carefully without taking away too much color, and if you do take a little away you can always add it back.

Hi Emily! Not done watching the video yet but about the “blocking out shapes is easier for me” while I do get it, it does make it harder to spot the mistakes in the basics shapes, so I’d suggest doing inicial lines on a light colour just to feel if the shapes are correct before blocking them! Think of it as drawings on a paper, you do the “messy lines” before settling on where the parts of your drawing go and then erase them, just like what you did on the tablet. I think it would be really beneficial for you since you normally say you made the shapes a little bit stretched or wider than it should be ☺️ Love your videos and your creativity! Off to watch the rest of it ❤

They look super great! I love how you decided to do something totally different than what I typically see as far as character art. I also just adore how supportive David is when you show him your nails. I do that here, I’m excited about how good something came out and I don’t get that type of reaction, I get yea or I don’t have my glasses, or they are long, nothing that would in courage me to try something else. 😮😢 anyway… Some of the nail art I want to try is going to have to have some gel that glides on like that black!
