Why would you be sure that I would not name MNCs? We have reported on them regularly, especially when ASCI upheld complaints against them. This comment indicates that you are writing on behalf of Patanjali. Here are some facts. I have been a regular user of Patanjali products, and an early convert to Danta Kanti, their soaps, Dalia, biscuits, dish wash bars, floor cleaners, etc. The quality declined in line with their growth. I have stopped using some - not all. On the other hand, I use very few MNC products, and moneylife does not get ANY ADVERTISEMENTS from them or other shady benefits. So your defamatory and misleading allegation is clearly motivated.

Earlier, Subroto Roy of Sahara ignored summons callously till the SC sent him into Judicial Custody. We know how it fared out - did time, got parole to fulfill his personal obligations when a family member passed away, and never went back to custody. If the SC had done the same by sending the duo to do some custodial time, perhaps the arrogance would've evaporated.

In 30y Patanjali has grown vigorously. Many old Ayurveda co have closed.but a lot of co is doing roaring buisness at par with patanjali which mostly publish misleading ads to cure many incureable ailments.this type of ads is spread in all consumer goods marketing.

So many such toothless tigers are around us now. Is GOI doing something or is it is that such bodies around are least bothered about their role play for society at large. MNCs or for that matter so many individuals industry flouts openly. Stop marketing that brand resurfacing with new name. FSSAI food pack what is marketed do they meet standard

Patanjali has failed Indian people. Very sad.

People died world wide because of not knowing the disease, pathogenesis, ethology and treatment line, a preventive strategy of lockdown used to delay or reduce the hospitalization. Injections, medicines and oxygen cylinders were stocked. People not died by Patanjali advertisement but rejection of a VACINE. Some of allegations are political and full of grudges or personal. In USA FDA created separate division for Ayurvedic medicines and allowed medical education in alternative medcine for MD.

i wont be shocked to see gradual induction of puppet judges even in SC after June 2024...US recent remarks point towards something very serious which the public may not know.

Long long, long due ... there shouldn't be any more hem and haw on it. Besides, its property's amassed through such fraud practices of ads to lure buyers must immediately be confiscated.

Indian Regulatory law were derived from 1) US FDA 2) EU MED and Japan. From product development to until product lifecycle. Regarding claims they issue warning letters and force to take out products market including law suits and compensation. In such cases same can be adopted. Your agenda and analysis is more political rather on effective conclusion

Nice..Sucheta listed business has no connection with the case but sentiment will prevail on the listed business.The big trigger was merger of listed business and this ayurvedic business for which a QIP was done with big investors incl Samir Arora recently.

Why are the Indian Medical Association and the Judiciary not incensed with the claims made by other players like Herbal medicines and "Baba Bengali" medicines. Is it because Patanjali has grown too big ? Is it because it was beginning to make a dent into the markets of the established players? We all know that advertisements do not portray the plain truth, but needs to amplify the points they would like their consumers to note and play down on their competitors, but why this selective anger against Patanjali?

Ayurvedic/ Botnical / Herbs can not compare or evaluate on the Allopathic standards. Entire treatment need own standards in order to treat or manage certain conditions. It is time CDESCO regulatory agency and Industry work together for safety, efficacy of product and users.

In habit majority of Indians rejects Allopathic medcine in first instance no matter what however majority use, survive and depends upon. This is the mind set of aam admi in India. Are you going to change. Your agenda is also close to the Ramdev too. I am not with the Ramdev advertisements and certainly courts are in action.

It's a battle between western medicine and ayurveda, and the one who managed public perception better, deals with conflicting situations better shall win. MNCs are very mindful of PR which is driven by sophisticated understanding of human behavior whereas patanjali is banking on a person's personal popularity which is temporary and isn't sustainable over long run

what about them? Are they claiming to cure cancer? Are they abusing evidence-based medicine in their adverts? Perhaps you should try to understand the scope of the issue covered by the court and the complaint against Patanjali. Also ,you are free to complain about Hamdard Advts to ASCI or the government's GAMA site. If they ignore a genuine complaint after verification, to write to me, I will report that too.

One Hindi TV channel is engaged in praising Ramdev and conducting live interviews in different postures. In one such interview during corona time he ridiculed Allopathetic medicines and doctors. Apart from this several Hindi medium TV channels have been acting as his mouthpiece in shameless manner. Above all he has the strong support of both BJP ruled central govt and state govt.

What about Himalaya???

Ms Dalal … why did you not address the political angle … the meteoric rise ( post the current …) … the funding source … and obviously the money laundering .. 50000 Cr market cap … sounded fishy right from the start .. not to mention the calisthenics of the yogic on TV programs …

None, Advertisements are an exaggeration and it applies to products by all manufacturers. IMC is against AYUSH too and they want only modern medicine (which you call "Allopathy" ) to prevail. Really? We made our own vaccine against Covid in record time while all the brown sahibs were busy ridiculing the GOI's efforts at indigenous production and clamouring for for Moderna and Pfizer. Same with the space programs and indigenous defense production.

Patanjali is taking head on MNC’s. Secondly complaint was filed in Hon’able SC by IMA on basis of act of 1954. Further Allopathy has no treatment for diabetes and BP or cancer. Whereas treatment is there in alternative medicine. My younger brother age 50 could have survived if not given chemotherapy. Chemotherapy itself is a killer.
