@@secborkgaming5688 They removed SOLO sesson now is pubilc or invite best part the only thing they added to their players if they used GTA+ garage they may get their car back or is still usable but only if you put cars there than it would be Paid service I hate GTA+ itself is barly adds anything just a payment that unlocked more payments with bit more I feel rip off if you say everyone can gain 2x in missons or 4x and you got events for that week that barly add anything to paid users over free users

Honestly I think there in ps3 there are the best games released on play station, at the time they were not influenced by battle passes, microtransactions, but they focused on making players have fun, for example the new cods are one worse than the other, those on ps3 are masterpieces

Absolutely. Publishers seemed to have more of a motivation to put out a quality product first, where today it seems that comes second.

Got a ps3 and a 360 use them all the time along with next gen. Love my old consoles

The PS3 has become very collectable with game prices going up in price but if / when the servers go down the game prices will literally go through the roof Grab the games you want before it's too late . The PS3 is the most amazing console ever made coupled with the absolutely Brilliant library of games the PS3 is going to be huge for game collectors ..

I have a question: I want to buy cod bo2, if I buy it in ps store I pay 50 bucks for the Gold edition and on Amazon 70 for Standard, which one should I get?

I think this is why we should focus on server emulation and PS3 emulation. Servers won't last forever, and eventually, all PS3s will kick the bucket from hardware issues. I'm pretty hopeful about the future, given the strides made with RPCS3 and all of the server emulation projects out there.

For someone like me that hunts trophies getting a game's server shut down it's already a bad thing, something like losing enterly access to PSN will be a massive nightmare. Not only because i will no longer play online games, or buy on the store, but even sync trophies to the psn servers will not be possible, online or offline trophies. Nothing. That will be something cruel.

I was 13 years old when I made my first account, first online game ever was killzone 2, had the first model big ol fat ps3, and i remember that app on the ps3 that was like an open world Sims social kinda thing. I use to spend hours roaming around interacting with people.

I think even if they wanted, it would be a chore to create it. The PS3 hardware is very unique and complicated. A very good emulator would be the best alternative I think.

In my opinion we still have at least 3 years considering ps3 still have almost 2 million monthy active users. That is still a huge number for such an old service.

if sony does ever fully shut down the PS3 servers, i hope they're smart enough to still allow trophy syncing. i still have a bunch of PS3 games lined up in my platinum wishlist

They probably won't, since this is what they use to stream PS3 games on PS4 and PS5 and they allow you to get trophies from those games.

It wouldn't make sense for them to shutdown the PS3 online service (not game servers), especially if you want to sync the trophies earned on the system.

I hope to god they never shut down the servers I just got back on my ps3 playing killzone and socom Warhawk again.

I'm waiting for the day that Sony justs uploads an open source server solution for the community so that they wouldn't have to deal with it anymore without making anyone mad (for the PS3) Edit: Statistics show that the PS3 has about 2.3 million users still consistently active according to a recently released graph of the MAU (Monthly Active Users) that shows the account activity of all online playstation consoles

I played all eras of PlayStation but ps3 days were my favorite . I hope the servers never shut down unless they make backward compatible for all games on current gen with new servers . Anyway, I loved this video and u earned a new subscriber .

There are so many games I have yet to purchase & play on PS3. One of the most annoying things about PSN on PS3 is that certain games cannot be purchased from PSN online stores outside of US. Especially with the PS1 library. Games like Dino Crisis 1 & 2, Megaman Legends 1 & 2, Parasite Eve 1, Klonoa and other PS1 classics can only be digitally purchased and downloaded only from US. Places like EU & UK for example don't have those games which makes purchasing certain games a complete chore to go through. I know Sony focuses more on modern gaming, but they should also care about their older audiences as well that have been supporting them for years ever since the PS1 first launched. Shutting down the PS3 stores won't make things any better, since their modern online services are just really bad.

My advice: Don't take no for an answer and keep on playing PS3 online services till your whole hands hurt.

one huge problem i have with this is that to this day, is many PS2 and 3 titles are simply not available to play outside of emulators, and even the ones who did get ported to PS4 often lack a lot of the features the original game had (most notable Uncharted 3's COOP). One of my favourite games of all time is Black Ops 2, and while i could just buy a Xbox or a PC to keep playing, i would have to start all over again or use mods to unlock everything, which is not exacly the nicest thing to do in a online game...

Hopefully not they should keep them running all the way up until the end of the next decade and that’s just in the bare minimum

@@takedwn-ysn5562 That's correct, Always full back in 2008, I managed to plat the trophy, 10,000 kills for the trophy was time-consuming, managed to get it before they shut down the R2 sever.

PS store was about to be offline but changed the mind but still good 👍 we can still play I think Spotify still works i did try

If ps3 gets shut down sony needs to backwards compadable the phyical copy and downloading games not this BS cloud that doesnt give any support to the games .their is over 2k games on ps3 and I have over few hundred that I want to play

I can see Sony get rid of store, friend list, message and it's p2p match making. But they have to at least keep some functionalities like download your purchased games and syncing trophies.

I wish that the Community never stops to try and keep games online. I play at least once a year Phantasy star Online 1/2 on Gamecube on Custom Servers and playing those old games on original Hardware is really something else then playing it on an emulator or PC Client.

PS3 is always the best 💪 better then PS5 and PS4 and I still play destiny online on PS3

We want backward compatibility for ps3 games after that no problem if they shutdown the servers like Xbox

I wish ps3 store was better with its website back and not the app that made it like ps4. Too sluggish

Before the hack in 2010, PS3 online store was very fast and smooth. They redesign the PS3 online after the hack, It wasn't perfect.

Is there a way to download map packs on a usb stick? Cuz i have to delete my map packs for mw2 to find matches online since no one has the map packs apparently. Also for my cod people is it worth buying map packs for cod waw

World at war yes you actually get better match making when you do… most people don’t play mw2 og most people are on mw3 and or bo1 or bo2 , people do still play ghost aswell… you can sometimes play mw1 og however it’s infested with either hackers so most people play the remastered version… But mw2 og there are discords and communities I save you ever wanna match make those communities go online just to play… since mw2 servers & match making on the ps3 suck…

I was able to with Webman and a flash drive I mount for internal storage. It seemed to work for Black Ops

I haven't really thought of this before but the PS3 will turn 18 years old this year. The PS3 is now 4 years older than i was when the console came out. Kinda depressing the more i think about it

This felt like a video with a missleading title where you mention things we already know like how Sony wanted to shut down the store etc.. Shutting the store is a completely different thing than to shut down online service for the entire platform. PSP still have games with official servers. The backlash for shutting the entire service would be too huge, people still need to be able to get their trophies from Vita and PS3 games, make no sense in not making that an option.

Since the PS3 online servers and the store will eventually shut down at some point, I made sure to get all the games I want in physical copies as quick as possible before price hikes on certain gems potentially reach levels on the Nintendo GameCube.

The day that the servers go offline will be sad. But as they did with major ps2 tittles, custom server restorations will save us

COD shutting down on PS3 is kind of moot given that new players cannot join regardless post WAW. These games do not properly handle users created after the name change update, and users who have changed their IDs, so they cannot even connect. I sadly changed my name, so no more MW3 for me; can't play it on 360 either because for the last week, the servers have been broken again, most people can't sign in.

I hope Sony at least still lets us play our digital games after psn goes down. Otherwise, what's that point of paying for any now? I'd still want to be able to play them.

@@MAWK3 If they willing to cut people Rights to movies or songs they paid for without much of a warning or their money back they may do that to old classics unless their playstation Not so portable gets the support PS5 can`t handle like playing old games on the go. because is would damage their shares if they honored old gamers vs Pay to play games.

@@thelastofus2872 Try 0.0.0.0 or 8.8.8.8 for secondary DNS to. The 8 worked best for me.

Probably will get shut down in the next 5 years easily. Kinda sad but given Sony still don't have backwards compatibility on PS5 with PS3 games it's a given.

Damn I still gotta buy Ken's rage on ps3 and its still a $50 game . Edit * and I waited too long with Gta vice city stories as rockstar games removed that one .

You don't need PSN to update games, just a network connection. Only on PS4/5 do you need a PSN.

When the time comes, I think that offline trophies will still be obtainable, they will probably keep updating the console to avoid modding which is their main concern apparently.

PS4 sold better than the PS3 and is far newer and more technologically similar to the PS5. It will be around for a long time.

I have a PS3,,but I have no games for it.

I think they should keep the ps3 online servers on because there's people out there who really can't afford a PS4 or PS5 or Xbox One or Xbox series x whatever the case maybe I think they keep the ps3 online servers on no matter what.

I can`t because is funny to use CFW PS3 than trying to update it I choose to mod my own because if you paid for something you need to have control what can it plays one of my classic game died because of is DISC keep dying when loading the game because I has more fav in PS3 is old but is has more feeling like games there ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PS4 - looks like a book that failed to do = I would risk a ban on PS3 because is more better than now Less payments more control over saves offline and is maybe slow but at least I don`t have to Listen to sony to update my PS3 to send my games over usb than their PS4. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- No forced plan -- Saves to USB ( offline willing to follow without asking for more ) -- CFW is better than OFW -- More offline games than online games -- Slow but better games -- Rockstar got GTA trilogy but forgot most classics
