WOW!! That was AWESOME!! This was a straight up FILM. It was truly cinematic and had me sucked in from beginning to end! All the gags about the alternate Jameses and Matties were genuinely funny, and what really made them work was seeing the deadpan responses of _our_ James and Mattie. I love how James kept getting hushed haha. It's so funny how all the alternate versions of you guys are so annoyed by you and disregard half of what you say, because in reality, we know that you two are utter pros at breaking this stuff down and literally CREATED this multiverse. It's really meta and I loved every second of it. So the story is awesome and the acting makes this sooo fun, but I'm also BLOWN AWAY by the technical side of this! I am VERY impressed by all the shots where you superimpose dozens of individual video clips of yourselves. It really feels like you're all in the room together, I was never taken out of it ONCE. It is SO hard to get the perspective THIS right; you had to shoot these individual clips from the perfect angles, and then place them all together onscreen with very serious regard for the horizon line and the spacial relationship between figures. It's a VERY hard thing to do and you did it flawlessly. The most impressive shot is that pan across all the Matties, lined up to use their time travel powers. That's like a dozen shots, all panning at the same rate with matching perspective... Wow. I could go on and on forever about everything I love about this video, I haven't even gone into how excellent all the actual ANALYSIS is... But the point is, I love it and can't WAIT to see more films like this from you guys! Your channel is one of my favorites on KZread, and I'm SO glad it's gotten to this point, where you can really do some self commentary and expand on your videos in meta ways! Keep it up!

This basically goes on for infinity, till all fiction is interconnected in a giant omniverse. Lego Dimensions, Smash Bros, and even Monster Hunter add boat loads of connection points. I call this omniverse idea the Crossover Web because of the KZread series by Gnoggin under the same name. Edit: Sorry if this comment comes across as disjointed or slightly weird to read. I've been sick for the past couple of days and haven't really slept because of it

It's made me a better brother because I can more fully engage with my younger sibling during their transition (Their name is Kai, btw and they send their love I'm sure they're watching this video right now). You're an inspiration. Hell, you're a goddamn superhero. And I'm so glad I get to be a part of this...crazy, mixed up thing we're all doing. If only as an atomically small part.

First of all, this was clearly a ton of work. Tremendous job. I am reminded of the ImaginationLand story arc where like half of western popular culture appeared (even Star Wars...haters) on South Park.

So what you’ve more or less described this entire time, and what has been floating around in my head ironically for years is something called the Omniverse! The omni verse is essentially a Multiverse of Multiverses. It contains every idea, every possibility, every media made possible to Exist or ever has existed or can exist, and all possible realities that ever could be conceived of. In essence, all Multiverses are tangentially connected to each other via another multiverse or directly. Examples such as the DC and Marvel Multiverses being directly connected to one another via their very premises. The fact that said Multiverses have had multiple crossovers, and certain crossovers even play with the idea of universes existing where the two universes are one in the same. So all in all everything is one of any possible universes existing in a multiverse existing in the Omniverse. Also I’m really happy we’re finally getting that poison ivy video. I’ve been waiting for that one for so long I honestly can’t remember even when I first subscribed to this channel.

That was epic, every aspect of production is just so impressive! I'm so glad that you're finally getting to finish this story, I can't wait to see where it goes from here. Oh and seeing James without his beard and glasses helps me understand how Clark Kent's glasses work.

I'd thought that when Marvel Mattie was speaking, Marvel itself would be brought in, since they of course crossed over with DC in the 90s and in JLA/Avengers. The former also brought the Amalgam universe, which I would assume have background cameos in DC properties. Not to mention, the DC and Amalgam universes have official designations in the Marvel multiverse.

Also, someone should maybe inform Dr. Manhat-Ted that he too has a doppelganger that exists in the form a DCUO character that made a few sporadic appearances on the channel. Just putting that out there...

The space between comics is canon in both DC and Marvel. In DC, it's the bleed, in Marvel, it's the gutter. So they're all part of the DC and Marvel multiverse. We're all part of those multiverses.

In all comics, the space between the comics is CALLED the Gutter, it’s not a company-chosen name, it’s the actual name for the comic panel outline. The Bleed is an in-universe “in between realities” thing and Marvel has Deadpool and Gwenpool use 4th wall ignorance to mention gutters.

So…the Generator Rex and Ben 10 connection also brings in Secret Saturdays thanks to crossovers? But let’s not gloss over that Firebreather connection in the OK K.O. crossover. Would the same character in a different medium constitute a connection to the larger multiverse? Becuase Firebreather is an adaptation of the Image comics character, and the comic version appeared on the same team as Invincible and Shadowhawk. Both Savage Dragon and Shadowhawk are from the same universe as Savage Dragon, who also appears as a part of the TMNT multiverse in Turtles Forever. But going back to Invincible, not only did we get a large multiversal war that included Spawn and Witchblade, there were also thousands of other Invincible universes. On top of that, main universe Invincible, in canon to 616 comics, visited the Marvel Universe bringing that multiverse in, but Invincible also visited the DC universe and met Batman (who had already crossover previously with Spawn and The Turtles anyway) and…amazing video guys lol, thanks for the years of hard work!

The thing about continuity, is that at the end of the day it’s an illusion. sure marvel and dc(or any other large franchise) might SAY “oh here’s the complete list of what is cannon” but like comics reference shit from “non cannon” stories all the time treating is as if it’s totally cannon all while constantly ignoreing things that DID happen in cannon. The killing joke was expressly written to be non cannon, but try telling that to Barbra Gordon, meanwhile how many times has a character died or turned evil only for it to not just be reversed but outright ignored by future writers. Its functionally impossible for writers to know everything about a characters history, and a good story (or sometimes just a profitable one) will always trump continuity consistency. The entire idea of continuity really just boils down to what’s the homework to understand a story, a writer can’t possibly know everything so they certainly can’t expect you too, continuity is usually just “a vague sense of the characters history’s and also maybe 1 or 2 specific story’s that this new story continues” And that basic recipe invites a lot of substitution in perception. Is the DCAU cannon to the comics, definitionally no, but if a writer can get a job having seen mask of the phantasm, but not read batman zero year, then maybe in a way it is… at least until the next writer takes over. The truth is you never really know if your seeing the same version of the characters you love Or just a different universe where very very similar events happend

I’m a sucker for a well-done multiverse story. Turtles Forever is probably my favorite, and I just read the Spider-verse comics and that was really good too.

I love that Doctor Who is the straw that broke the camel's back for James.

The funny part is with OKKO thing, that show had a cross over with Sonic which opens up a whole can of worms. Since the closer you get to Ryu from Street Fighrer the crazier things get. The Ryu number exists for a reason.

Not to mention, Sonic crossed over with Mega Man twice in the Archie Comics, the second of which involved Mega Man X. X, along with other Capcom characters, have crossed over with Marvel characters in the Marvel vs. Capcom games.

I mean, it’s no The Underdwellers or Moon of the Wolf, but hey, those are lofty expectations right there. Batman’s usefulness is just nonexistent, I rate it as such: 3 one-armed Star Wars fanatic Matties out of 10. I wish this would’ve been done by the GOAT of animation studios, AKOM, instead of dumb old Spectrum, and there was no Harvey Bullock, so it’s therefore neither books or hip hop, I’m afraid. Wonder what the Yoptower can do to top this……

So fun fact about Dr who: everything is cannon. Star trek is both a real historical time period, and a fictional TV show from the 60s. They reffers to things being "very spock" and then the doctor meets picard and the TNG crew and then the TNG crew meet the legion of superheroes and xmen. Star wars is both real with the dr meeting jar jar binks and also fictional.

I know this is.... 7 Months LATE but the reason why An Imaginary Friend of Mojo Jojo exists in Fosters is I think it was Frankie that said that sometimes kids would create an Imaginary Friend BASED on a show they like. The original Power Puff Girls exist as a fictional Universe in Fosters. In Billy and Mandy when Mandy smiled in an episode she somehow rewrites the universe to where her Billy and Grim are viewed AS The Powerpuff Girls and return Home but those events too my knowledge are never referenced again. One of the Billy and Mandy specials Grim is temporarily removed as Grim Reaper and Numbuh 3 from Codename Kids Next Door is given Grim's Scythe and is The Grim Reaper. When those events are said and done and Grim has his Scythe back and Numbuh 3 returns home, when the two shows DO Cross over in another episode Numbuh 3 does reference her brief time as Grim Reaper

Truly love how much time you've put into this video! I know you knows always joke ' IS IT CANNON?!' but I truly enjoyed seeing each timeline explored! It was fun, wacky and even made me want to revisit the comics and TV Shows! Excellent stuff gentleman! Also yes, I like Starwars too!( But mostly TMNT & such!)

Sad thing is: this is just a drop in the bucket. Theoretically, this goes back to the early 1900s with the earliest Zorro movies, the Disneyverse, the Sonic multiverse, the Mortal Kombat series, the LEGO games (FORTNITE?!?!), the Fox library, Shrek, multiple animes... It's a maddening thing... there's talk of someone trying to cover everything in the multiverse, but they're never going to complete it.
