I love Will and that chemistry he had with JJ from the beginning and even though I love Reid very much, I didn't see them together at all, I confess that since Morgan and Hotchner came out I haven't seen her almost any more.

Because of this scene, I wouldn't mind seeing a future scene where JJ is talking to someone on the phone about Will's condition. At the end of the phone call, she will say 'Goodbye, Spence', which meant the conversation she was having was with Reid. This is a subtle way of having him in the show without having Matthew Gray Gubler physically return. Just a thought.

I agree. They said that Matt and Spence were both away on assignment. Spence would most likely keep in touch with JJ, Rossi, Emily or Garcia while being away. Matt would most likely keep in touch with Luke, Rossi or Tara.

I saw an article where people were devastated and angry about this scene. Just want to say this for the show watchers and people in real life. Cancer does not equal death sentence. Also may not be cancer.
