@@Ammiad "progression good" Ah, yes, I love spending 16 hours+ doing the SAME thing over and over again only to finally leave THE FIRST SEA (it doesn't change in the second or third, you will keep doing it over amd over again). Also, the pvp is literally using moves in a specific order to deal the maximum damage possible until the enemy is able to actually do something. It's not good.

With the woodcutting thing I think the intent was more like “hey I need to go chop wood so I can go craft me a ship, wow that’s convenient I leveled up from that, wow that’s convenient the ship I crafted gave me enough xp to do ____” type of deal. You’re not gonna be grinding wood cutting for xp, you’re gonna be wood cutting for other reasons which levels you up at the same time.

Rell Seas is a prime example of how fast overhyping can make better than average games seem underwhelming due to how heavily it's been overhyped. (Had to clarify since most if not all overhyped games usually die within months/weeks of release and it's been like that forever.) Edit: I was referring to Rell Seas when I said better than average since it has potential to be good, not blox fruits.

Bloxfruit devs so bad, update that was scheduled for december was delayed because “1 model change”, here were are 2 months later no update because of 1 model design. The developers know they dont have to update for a year to gain bank because the 800k little kids played the game for the whole year despite getting no updates.

5:00 i mean they made it pretty clear on it being new to normal traditional popular roblox competitors(they made it pretty clear that they know many AAA games also have non linear and arent exactly oblivious to it) also i wished u looked at more of their clips and dev logs( i am presuming u havent since the only footage u used was the 1st movie which exactly wasnt the best decision since it was kinda bad and no script i would recommend to look at the dev logs since they do get better at presentation)

I notice in nearly every one of your reviews you mention how bad working with roblox net code is, which I completely agree with. Surprisingly enough, however, roblox does intend to implement server dominated networking, forcing clients to "predict" what happens next as opposed to waiting for the server to tell you. This networking model already exists on the platform but is really hard to implement with how many roblox systems that need to be rewritten.

Well i am just sceptical about the fact that they are releasing with subnautica type of underwater exploration i just hope that will be good but like you said it is pretty Hard to make all of the stuff being added fun

im honestly just rlly excited for the sea exploration and im avoiding mostly all teasers to not get overhyped myself

ULTRAKILL is a game I think you would enjoy. The level design is great, enemies are fun to fight, and there are a lot of easter eggs. It's still in early access though, and there are still some levels which need to be worked on. Still very recommended, and doesn't cost much on Steam!

5:24, Never liked this argument as that wasnt the main point of showing that off, it was to show that you can literally do anything to progress. Yes you can fight bosses, yes you can fight npcs, they arent saying you have to woodcut or cook they are just saying there are many ways to progress. Edit: Just saw the part where you said it sounds great but isnt original.

After watching this video, I now wonder “how is the player supposed to promoted to explore or engage into combat. Based on the first movie, they just show that you can do non-combat focused progression. This doesn’t promote the player to actually engage in combat, nor does it promote them to go to any of the other islands. They also promote the “Devil May Cry inspired combat”, but don’t add it to the progression in any way from the looks of it (key words). Also, how will it promote being a pirate or a marine? You can probably (key word) beat the game from chopping trees and giving bjs or some shit, but the big thing in one piece is being a marine or a pirate. I am not expecting it to be the quality of a triple A game, it’s made on Roblox after all, but when I heard it will have a unique progression system, I thought those attributes you can use to level up can help you with your combat/play style. Maybe it will be like that, or maybe it will be like Deepwoken where things like woodcutting can help with strength and thievery helps with speed. There are only like, three progressions that would matter to the game overall: cooking, shipbuilding, and thievery. But overall, I think that Rell Seas seems like it has potential and I like how the Rell brothers are trying to innovate One Piece games, however, I think the progression needs some changes and it could be pretty good. Oh, I am also not asking for it to be a bandit beater for any people who are going to be angry at this.

i can almost predict he will say it wont be good, i hope im wrong because as a game designer i think this is one of the best games for roblox standards, as long as their only idea of non linear or good progression isnt just "do random shit" its kind of mind boggling how in roblox, the only idea developers can even fathom is doing random shit over and over instead of having a more streamlined, dark souls style progression that would be considered LEGENDARY on the platform

The biggest problem with games on roblox is that those games don't have an actual end. Most of great games on have a story and a purpose. If you finish the story that's it. Roblox is quite different. If the story exists in game it's propably 4 hours long max so the games themselfs never have a purpose. Arcane Odyssey for example. Good story but after that you can't start another save you're just stuck in "late game" forever. Roblox can only bet on either combat or bandit beating that later turns into combat anyway. That's my main point why I don't play roblox

Respectfully, you understood nothing about progression... No, you will not cut trees to level up, no you won't do that to get to 500/500, what they said is that everything will give you xp and IF you do something very often you will get better at it. For example: you fish a lot in the game cause for whatever reason you like it? Good you will get xp for classic levels AND levels in fishing, you will get better at what you do and you can do anything to level up. The progression is basically deepwoken on steroids, you want to play only PvP you will level up, you want to play only PvE? you will level up, you want to fish and cook? You will still level up. Sorry for my bad English, it isn't my main language

I'm excited for Rell Seas but I do have my reservations, I've been playing the Rell brothers games for 10 years at this point and every single game they have made in the past has been a bandit beater or stat grinder or mix of the two, from their earliest naruto games all the way up to shindo life both versions of star life as well as the other one piece game they made they have all varied on either just stat grinding via training or bandit beating with elements of that mixed in. I sincerely hope they can manage to do it but I am hesitant to say it will be great when this does seem to be their first real go at breaking away from that genre.

They've only done that with shindo stop blindly judging. Shinobi life was naruto inspired, shindo was their own concept and ideas, so tell seas is inspired by one piece without needing an IP, that doesn't make it any less of a one piece game.

Eclipse, I think you got the “farming” aspect of the game wrong. You WILL be leveling up your woodcutting, but woodcutting will be helping you progress along WITH the actual game. Instead of cutting the wood to level up you are cutting the wood so you can both cut BETTER wood, and do you can make tools to help you in gathering other resources/fighting people.

It's very good but combat is meh and it gets laggier the longer u stay in the server, it's too spammy and it would be improved if the cds were longer tbh

5:09 I looked at this progression style in the eyes of someone who watches One Piece and I find it quite interesting. I pictured this as different "fighting styles" if you will. for example, Sanji is a cook and fights using his legs because hands are for cooking, or Usopp which is a sniper but also uses a hammer for repairing the ship from time to time as well as using it for combat. with how wacky One Piece is, I don't find it entirely unbelievable for woodcutting to also include things like Axe fighting styles or a fisherman using the rod for a grappler type combat or to lure in Seabeasts more efficiently. although this is, like you said, very high expectations, I don't find it out of the realm of creativity from the devs, something like this might make the game really interesting and encourage various character builds and provide replayability

knowing the devs put out consistent updates and actually listen to what their community says, i think rell seas should at least be decent enough for someone to want to play it

I think part of the hype is that these are the people who made shindo life the rell brothers but there whole soul into their game in its prime it got blox fruit level updates weekly and right now he is doing a challenge to do a fix of balance change every day on shindo life and even if that game isnt for everyone you have to respect the amount of time and effort they put into a roblox game

The only thing I disagree with is that he said the game will slowly become a bandit beater the game is not out yet so I guess time will tell but personally I don't think the progression will get boring at least not to me anyways nice video keep up the good work(ik this was uploaded 2 months ago but I still wanted to comment on this video just to share what I think)

This was hard to watch. Im not saying the game is not over hyped but your acting like this game is going to be barely above average when this game is almost guaranteed to be the best games on roblox, only way i see it not being best is holy war x is really good or it gets copyrighted. Even with only the stuff the devs confirmed they finished, it would prob be top 10. If we can have AAA like progression on roblox that a good thing, i cant think of any well made games on roblox with that kind of progression, and the point of the game is to feel like your in the world of one piece.

legacy piece also looks promising, it has a guaranteed story type of game and not bandit beater. i just wish they make the story not boring and fun, and from what the sneak peeks look like, i have high hopes for it. its even coming way sooner than this so while we wait for rell seas we can play legacy piece first (ofc only if its actually fun, which i think it will be)

I'm not the oldest not even over 15 years old but I completely agree with the point of games with flashy effects doesn't make it good. My friends play these games like blox fruits grind it and wonder why I don't join it I just don't like games that are flashy alone. It has to be good animated and well made.

eclipse can you check out combat initiation, its a fairly new game may of last year and its pretty interesting take on retro/zombie games on roblox and is a fresh take. And for anyone else please check the game out it is very fun and replayable. It is hard to achieve the ending and there are multiple options to choose to spice the game up. like so eclipse can see

the progression is kinda like what eclipse said but imo id say its a bit more like skyrim rather than runescape (ive played both so we can say its more like a mix)

As soon i saw the intro I could already tell that this game is gonna be like Grand Piece Online. If they are just look the same heck It'll feel as If nothing changed except for the map design (My bias for now).

They’re not competing with other ACTUAL TRIPLE A games. They’re talking about, new progression on the ROBLOX platform.

When rell seas are saying a "new formula" they're talking about roblox games. Usually One Piece games tend to have only 1 progression type, which is just doing quest and beating npcs, which people call "bandit beaters." (I know you know this) The reason they do this is so it is unique compared to other One Piece games, if you get tired of just doing the same thing of taking quest and beating npcs you can just go do something else to relax. Not trying to hate or anything I just want to inform you, love ur vids btw. Edit : They do also say "ROBLOX RPGs" I don't like Blox Fruits btw, just letting you know lol

How I like to look at rell seas is wait for it to release before you decide it is game of the year for the next 100 years

I kinda one of the rell seas fan but I'm not saying rell seas will dominate the platform there's a lot of up coming games this year that shows alot of good content in their game that could be even better than rell seas Maybe the only thing I disagree about is the progression part cuz cutting trees doesn't just give you xp it gives you materials to craft tools or weapon even if you're max level in the game you still need to cut down trees to repair ship and not just tree cutting but other progression too

Honestly it’s not a bandit beater according to the devs it looks good visually based off of one of my favorite anime one piece and seems to have exploration aspects which matches the themes of one piece which a lot of games based on one piece lack looks solid have to wait till I can play it to actually say if it’s good or not

With it not being a bandit beater, it does show that the devs put more effort into game compared to all other bandit beaters which are just money scandals

I'd seen bits and pieces here and there of rell seas but it was more of a back burner thought to me. I'm interested to see what the game is like on release, but I also have no expectations other than "one piece game." The over hyping of games really leads to their down fall, so I've tried to stay as uninformed on the game so I can give it my honest opinion. I made my Roblox account as a joke and then it was all my laptop could run. so I'm not expecting anything mind boggling when it comes to a Roblox game. this is off topic. My honest opinion of blox fruits is run as far away as you can, I threw myself down the rabbit hole and I regret it so much, I'm not a PvP guy and prefer to steam roll bots by optimizing my grind and prefer to do things solo as much as possible. but I got carpal tunnel and brain rot playing blox fruits and regret it so much, sure I'm max level and have a lot of perma fruits but I regret every purchase. Put me on a daily dose of stupid, I do not care, I used the money I got from my job to buy those things because I was in high school, and it gets the message out to never go down the blox fruits rabbit hole.

i hope this game doesnt become a game where we had to do nothing except all those cutting trees to level up since yeah then it will surely become a bandit beater beater they should involve a good lore or lore similar to one peice if possible, it would also make more sense if we are able to visit another island after doing something or completing the story of that island rather than roaming any island we want.

eclipse play project heritage the music is a banger and the models are CLEAN and REALISTIC but it doesnt have enough players plz know that it is a game in beta

there is a game that does use rell seas progression years before rell seas its called legends re written there are probably more

Legends was a good game but died,I’m still happy that the developers didn’t abandon the game and even with it averaging 500 players they still work on it

to be fair, most roblox RPGs (especially one piece games like blox fruit) are bandit beaters.
