They really think Atalanta has a better chance of beating Leverkusen rather than Dortmund beating Real? Do these guys watch the games? I actually watch Serie A and yes what Robo said is spot on. Atalanta can be a very good team, but so can Roma. The scoreline today didn't represent what happened at all. Leverkusen were totally dominant. If anyone has watched Madrid it's very apparent this team can be got at. Leipzig outplayed them and couldn't finish there chances, Man City thoroughly outplayed them and got unlucky, and Bayern were just pretty bad, particularly in transition. The thing is...Madrid wins even when they play horribly. Leverkusen this season has only played nice football, but we don't know what would happen if they have an off-game as all teams do. That uncertainty to me makes it fair to say that Atalanta has more chances of winning. You can pummel Madrid with possession and chances, and still lose the game as those teams you mentioned (and dozens more) have experienced.

Real Madrid are an elite team who have a lot of talent on paper, but what Carlo Ancelotti has done this season is a prime example on why he’s one of the best managers of the modern era. At the start of the season many of us had doubts towards Real Madrid because they were coming off the back of a disappointing season by their standards where Barcelona won La Liga and Manchester City embarrassed them in the Champions League semifinals. They looked as if they were a club in transition and the shocking of Karim Benzema and not replacing him with an elite striker didn’t help and the first 2 days of the season Thibaut Courtois and Eder Militao picked up ACL injuries respectively ruling them out for months. If anyone told you that Real Madrid were gonna win La Liga and be in another champions league final, you wouldn’t believe them. Whoever they have, they’re expected to be in contention to win La Liga and go deep in the Champions League. Here we are in May, with 4 games to spare, Real Madrid have won La Liga, they’ve already won the Spanish Super Cup and they’re now in the Champions League final where we know what happens next. Just a reminder that a lot of their key players missed a significant amount of time due to injuries they had to play midfielders out of position utilize a makeshift defense and they’ve gone the whole season without an elite striker and have managed to lose only 2 games in all competitions and haven’t lost in La Liga since late September. That’s ridiculous and this is a testament to Ancelotti’s tactical nous his ability to find solutions and tinker with the team. At the start of the season when they were getting results without being great, many questioned this team as they weren’t convincing and we weren’t sure if this diamond formation was working as the months have gone by Real Madrid have been unbelievable and even without being at their best they grind out results and come away with huge wins despite falling behind and conceding the first goal. Evolving your tactics is a key part of modern football being able to set your team out in a certain way we’ve seen this with a guy like Pep Guardiola for example and Carlo Ancelotti is doing more of the same. The guy is a serial winner he’s willing to do anything in his power to win and he looked at this team and felt as if they could play without a natural striker and they’ve only failed to score in one game and their only striker in the team is Joselu who dunked on Bayern Munich yesterday off the bench. You know your team is doing well when a guy like Joselu can score goals off the bench. People say that you need a 20+ goals a season player in order to win trophies and while Jude Bellingham Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo have chipped in with so many goals the fact that they’ve been so comfortable without a proper striker says it all about the trust that Ancelotti has in his players. Even after all of this, they’ll probably win the Champions League again which is insane. Next season, particularly after the arrival of Kylian Mbappe and a fully fit squad, this team is gonna get better and better.

Bayer Leverkusen could do something that no team has ever done before which is win every trophy while not losing a game. Don’t you know how insane it is that Bayer Leverkusen of all clubs is 2 wins away from winning a treble and doing it as an undefeated team. Next season, I don’t expect them to go on a 50+ games in a row unbeaten streak because it’ll come to an end very soon, but what Bayer Leverkusen needs to do is keep their best core of players. Someone like Florian Wirtz for example who’s been linked with every top club he should stay at the club at least for another season. I also hope that guys like Victor Boniface Alex Grimaldo Jeremie Frimprong and others are still there next season as well, Wirtz in general the face of the team has to stay for a little longer. We all know that Xabi Alonso has committed his future to the club. Something that’s very annoying in football is how whenever a small team does well, they get raided by the bigger clubs. Because Bayer Leverkusen are a club that’s known for developing young talent and getting the next big thing, with the season they’re having, it’ll be difficult for a club like that to achieve longevity when every top team wants their players. Remember what happened to Monaco in 2016-17 after winning Ligue 1 and their run to the champions league semifinals and Ajax’s champions league semifinal run in the 2018-19 in a span of a season they literally lost all of their best players. We also see this with clubs like Borussia Dortmund RB Leipzig and Benfica last summer I think the same thing happened to Leicester City and even Brighton to a certain extent in the last 18 months. That’s the reality of football, those clubs are never able to have longevity and it’s unfortunate because you want to see them achieve more together before going off to a bigger club. Xabi Alonso is football’s next great manager and in the future I expect him to be Carlo Ancelotti’s long term replacement at Real Madrid and I see him going there in the future, Florian Wirtz is a special talent and a player like him he won’t stay at Bayer Leverkusen forever as in the next 12 months you expect him to end up at Real Madrid Barcelona Bayern Munich Liverpool Manchester City etc for example. Just hope that they can keep their best core of players for another season or 2 and this is the only way that the Bundesliga can actually be competitive assuming that Bayern Munich don’t get things sorted out very soon.

Atalanta can beat Leverkusen , but Atalantas biggest problem is there schedule and fitness. They are still fighting for champions league qualification in the Serie A and they are also in the Coppa Final against Juventus. Leverkusen on the other hand have already won the league and will commit fully to the Europa League final.

You seriously think Atalanta beating Leverkusen is more likely than Dortmund beating this Real Madrid side that almost went out to the worst Bayern in history? Are u mad?! Dortmund will be the underdogs in the final but have every chance to win if they play like in the first leg against PSG. Atalanta have close to zero chance of beating Leverkusen (like everybody else this season).

If Alonso stays, i think every player will stay. Is not just about money....they believe in Alonso. They are in love with Alonso as a coach. They would wish to make history rather than split in other teams. Playing at Leverkusen for longer and trying to dominate in Bundesliga again and in UCL will be fantastic for their career. Going at Bayern, Real, Man city...etc.... they may slowly vanish. Every one of us saw all these years how many talented players burned careers only because of more money. Leverkusen may still do history the next season.

There is nothing special about Madrids game this year, they have been lucky as always in the CL. Nothing dominating like Leverkusen. If Leverkusen would play against Madrid in the final of the CL, I wouldn't bet against them.

If you know anything about football you should know that Leverkusen is doing what Realmadrid have done all their history. They call them comeback kings for a reason. Also the reason Realmadrid is so difficult to win against is because they don't play systematic football in other words you cannot predict their playing style they can change it at anytime. Luck does not win you over a 100 trophies.

Germany teams are more sensible with money and that's why the league is financially sound. The thing is the Germans are very canny with a bargain and only spend big bucks if its a player like Kane etc. Players tend to be drawn to the premier League as they pay silly amounts of dodgy oil money. I'd stay in the Bundesliga its on fire and the young players are the best in the world.
