Its a weird thing... But us brits don't like/use table saws. If we need to cut a straight edge we clamp a straight edge to the surface and run a circular saw or jigsaw against it. Is that the first time that Crazy has been on a mill? If so, pretty remarkable how quickly she took to it. Congrats!
that doggo looked so happy, also props for getting her to do this without any hesitation it seems! What a cool Malinois
You can tell how such good focus and drive that dog has man I'd love to train her In a month she be grabbing a beer out the fridge from 1 word
This series has been a recording of how much one man can love his dogs
That is an extremely high quality mill from what i can see. I would definitely buy one of those if i had the room for one. Just a tip though, you could also add a break to the mill so it makes it more comfortable for the dog to get actually onto the mill as well as making the mill useful to help with other bits of training such as grip work. Great job on the mill im very impressed
The doggo testing it out with you at 2:28 was the cutest thing I’ve seen today

Every time he leaves the chuck key in the lathe, it gives me the heebie jeebies. I've seen chuck keys take huge chunks out of structural concrete, which I believe is stronger than the human skull.
As an engineer, that's some very convincing "rigorous engineering analysis"
"The less one knows about engineering the more one overbuilds things" reminds me of a quote from one of my engineering professors. "Anyone can build a bridge, alot of people can build a bridge that doesn't fall over, a great engineer is one who builds a bridge that just BARELY doesn't fall over"
I feel like Crazy needs an armor suit for her inevitable crime fighting career.
Okay, let's all stop and be impressed that he was able to say, "Put a lathe in the steel and thread a turn." without messing up. Do it right now. I dare you.

The honesty of the cost vs building your own. Its a harsh truth. DIY projects usually fail to admit cost of time, tools and resources. But, totally bloody worth it.

All pet owners should care this deeply for their pet's welfare! And this doggo looks super duper happy, you can see how good he is with her (?) By how well trained and taken care of she is. Awesome videos!
OH MY GOSH! She is so fast and impressive!😍 amazing fab work, engineering, and ingenuity- but truly that speed and those listening skills!!! A queen.
I'm sure you can find a better generator than that dynamo thing. Maybe do a colab with Big Clive, James Bruton, or maybe even Colin Furze to put something together?
@InformatrIIcks
2 жыл бұрын
Problem is a bigger "power generating" device would create much more rolling resistance, which i fear could be bad for the dog if not properly done ... Not any dog can be a sled dog (That said, i don't know much about dogs so it might work, though she would for sure have to pull harder on the slats which might be an issue)
Now the question that still needs to be answered: Can Alec charge his phone with a treadmill?
The springs told me I was gonna love this, good on you, thats good canine care
I really liked the music choices in the B roll in this video. Very good choices. Incredible and unique. It fit in well with the technological metalworking / engineering theme of the video. Keep up the great work!

Its extra impressive considering the circumference of that roller is probably 1/4 that of a standard bicycle wheel it’s designed for. With the correct gear ratio it would probably be way more power!
@VyantQuijt
2 жыл бұрын
Correct me if I'm wrong, but when the contact point of the dynamo is on the outer edge of the wheel, then the diameter of the wheel is irrelevant. The speed at that point of the wheel will equal the speed of the axle relative to a point on the interfacing surface (the ground, or the tread belt in this case). You'll get the same output from the dynamo, whether you run it straight off the road or off the edge of the tire. (This is all assuming a fixed speed, so the dog running as fast as the bike goes)
