probably before 2 HD but will likely be on the scale of Pikmin 1 & 2 on Switch just HD upscaled

I think it’s coming eventually. When Switch 2 comes out, I think we are going to get a lot of GameCube and Wii remasters on Switch 1 for a few years since the install base is so large.

As someone who likes Dark Moon, it getting an HD Port over the original game is an absolute win in my book. Joking aside, I’m sure the original game will get another remaster someday. But it will be when we least expect it. Because that’s the Nintendo way.

I was born in 98 I grew up playing GameCube and I can say Luigi’s mansion 1 was just creepy to me and I love that game so much and I agree they kinda ruined it for me with the new ones they aren’t creepy like 1 and this game needs a remaster

Luigi Mansion is a game that I really enjoy and I love it and the game should definitely get a remaster and I hope in the future of the Mario franchise Luigi mansion gets remastered.

I really hope it gets a remaster, I agree the first game is just so good and the sequels just don't reach it, even though I loved 3, the first is just so special.

Best case scenario: After Luigi's Mansion 4 on Switch 2, there will be a boom of Remakes for the system in the middle of its life cycle and LM1 will be one of the chosen ones. Rather, I think that after Remaking Luigi's Mansion 2, Mario Vs Donkey Kong and Paper Mario TTYD in Switch 1, it would be funny if on Switch 2, Nintendo decides to Remake Luigi's Mansion 1, DK 94 and Paper Mario 64, for me, the better options than what we got.

Luigi's Mansion 1 was just such a dark and creepy game, 2 and 3 kind of lost that atmosphere

Ngl as someone who loves all 3 games and has put over 400 hours into each of them, this is a pretty weird decision on Nintendo's part.

They should’ve bundled it alongside Mansion 2 HD

I believe they will remake the Luigi’s Mansion trilogy for the next system.

Who knows if Nintendo is going to get a remake of Luigi's Mansion if they did they will have a new Trilogy for that

I'm more excited for Dark Moon bc I mever got to play it and now it will be on the big screen. Though I hope they bring the og back too, with 3ds multiplayer, and PAL Hidden Mansion.

Basically its because their somewhat trying to mirror the 3DS's last years on the market. the LM1 remake came out before 3 came along side a Warioware Microgame collection and 2 Mario RPGs(Yes I know they released in different years). And with the Switch we got 2 Mario RPGs(one releasing next year), a Warioware that's a sequel to the best selling game in the series, and a HD remaster of LM2. As for why its here, basically its for 4 reasons(One of them you already mentioned): 1. Its a prequel to 3: Many people who played 3 first, will have a much easier time getting into this one than 1 as most of 3's mechanics and enemies came from that game. 2. The Mario movie: Its not a coincidence that were getting all these remasters and remakes the same year the Mario movie released(and was a hit). In fact if you really look at them, some of them even parallel scenes from the movie. Of course one of those games is LM2 where Luigi gets forcefully teleported to a haunted valley to explore abandoned buildings. And in the Mario move what happened to Luigi? he was forcefully separated from his brother, into a whole new world where he escapes danger by locking himself in an abandoned building. It may not be exactly the same but I think people will see the connection here. 3. Its the reason LM became a series in the first place: Say what you want about(I have) but you can't ignore the facts. This game sold twice the amount of copies of the first game, is one of the best-selling games on the 3DS, and was popular enough to get an arcade cabinet based on it. And with sequel selling 2x that amounts the LM series became one of Nintendo's go-to series now. 4. It got a remake on the 3DS: Since the remake was 5 years ago, I don't think it make much sense to port it now, LM is a pretty short game so it might be difficult to convince newcomers to buy it since there's not much to like its successors. Most would assume it would be bundle with but since that's not the case, It would have to be the 3DS remake to up the price cause I don't see how their going to convince people to buy an old game that's the same length Bowser's Fury, but even less to do. I don't like Dark Moon either but to say this being ported makes no sense is kind of ridiculous. Although It is strange to release it in the Summer though.

I’m okay if dark moon gets a remake because I think it’s a bit to much hate and I think it’s kind of nice to get a remake of it because I think it deserves better attention

I wasn’t in to dark moon at first but as I kept playing, I thought it was a decent game and not as bad as you claimed it to be,it’s not perfect but I still had kind of fun with it then you did with the game

I want Luigi Mansion the original want to come to the switch

And I have a big feeling that they will reremake Super Mario 64.

And it’s strange that he thinks luigis mansion 3 is bad to,I kind of understand why he might not like dark moon but luigis mansion 3 I don’t understand,and it’s his opinion but when he said to bad the sequels suck it sounds like he making it a fact like everyone dislikes this game which is not true because this game got pretty good reviews

I only recently got a Switch Lite and I bought Luigi's Mansion 3 which I don't really like, and pre-ordered 2 HD which admittedly does not look great. However, despite not being a Nintendo guy, Luigi's Mansion 1 is among my favourite games of all time. It's without a doubt objectively the best in the series and the others only exist because of its success, yet they've completely neglected it. And the 3DS port doesn't count. It's an insult to the game. Why give it a handheld console port when they had a top selling home console to port it on? Meanwhile an actual handheld game gets a home console port. And unless you have a 3DS, a copy of the game, or a GameCube and a copy of the original game, Luigi's Mansion is impossible to play. I really wanted all three games on one portable console. A neat collection. But no, they're just acting like Luigi's Mansion 1 doesn't exist.

Only KZreadr to make me watch anything Mario. I HATE Mario.

I agree one hundred percent. This game is the Only one worth your time
