I thought the same. It could be that as a lawyer he knows it's a really sticky situation. How much you can spend is a weird system based on how many votes you get in the future. You can end up inadvertently spending too much and breaking the rules. It's not the most Draconian of systems (looking at you USA) but we don't have the most liberal system either.

As far as I know a candidate has to declare the total amount if donations and if any cone from an organisation, but individuals who donate don't have to be identified.

@scooby1992 there is an upper limit of how much an individual can donate without it being declared. I think its something like £500 or something but it may have changed. Generally people try and keep under the limit so they aren't listed (especially if controversial).

Has anyone ever really thought how Black and / or Asian areas in UK exist? Of course, there were white indigenous people living in the houses in those areas before, this is just common sense. Brits talk about people from ethnic background not integrating. In fact it was the Brits that did not want to intergrate with ethnic minorities. One ethnic person moves into the house next door or area and the white Brits moved out not wanting to live next to an ethnic person. This cycle continued, no white person want to move into a house next to an ethnic, house prices decline, only an ethnic will want to buy the house cos no white person will. The root cause of Black and Asian areas is Brits not allowing ethnics to intergrate. Not ethnics not willing to intergrate with Brits

I'm not religious or of colour but have a moral compass, heart and empathy... labour do not, it is not only those of muslim faith they've lost it is all people who care. @@phoque121 There is a genocide that the party in office is supporting. The opposition party started by supporting it. When they realized it was unpopular they adopted a neutral stance. Most of the world recognises this as a genocide. You do not have to be muslim to see this as a genocide and be repulsed by the fact that our government supports it.

In my town there is one middleclass/professional neighbourhood and these days that's the only place you ever see Labour posters during an election.

I voted for Akhmed Yakoob as a protest vote. The more I get to know and hear from him the more I dislike him. That interview was very telling in how he’s using Gaza for his personal advances in politics. The fact we couldn’t find anyone better is exactly the problem with UK politics.

Why they tryna make it a Muslim issue? I’m not Muslim and I’ll never vote labour over their war mongering. I stand with Gaza.
