I wish someone would make film for these old girls again, there's a niche market for it.

We had one of those when I was a kid. It felt so futuristic at the time.

I still have family photos that were taken with this camera, when I was 2 yrs old, in '83! The pics are sharp, glossy, barely non-bendable; looking at them right now in my photo book. I've always felt that they were ahead of their time as well.

Its next level cute and nostalgic to be making lasting good memories with this. Thats the value :)

we want film for this camera

This was a way much better built camera than polaroid. Took way better quality photos as well. Polaroid has the batteries built in to their film packs. I had a polaroid 600 land camera back in the day, and all the photos i took with it are degrading, looks as if the material on the inside is turning to power, and pulling off.

I find yesterday same machine i find him at my father house , is it réal hes vintage camera this styff ? Because my pop got this since 40 years ,plus he always works even old pellicule from 30 years 😂

I think I'm going to have to get a pack or two of that Kodak film and see if I can load Instax Wide into the cartridge. It looks quite close to the same size, exposes through the back of the print like the Kodak did, and it's about 1/3 stop faster than the fast version of the Kodak film. If I can get it into the cartridge, then I'll see about getting one of the cameras. They have better lenses than what Fuji sells for Instax these days.

Not sure if Wide would fit, but there are multiple videos on KZread how to load it with Mini or Square film.

@@Dan-TechAndMusic Wide won't fit -- it's 1/4" too wide. I've got a Square adapter on the way from Sweden, just drop the whole pack into the adapter and the adapter into the camera. Set a little darker than normal (Instax is ISO 800, the faster Kodak was ISO 640). Unfortunately, the Kodamatic 950 I bought seems to have a problem in the shutter circuits, I'll have to try getting another. I might have been wrong about the "better lenses", though -- that may apply only to the EK-4 and EK-6 (and an EK-6 is almost certain to have bad gears as soon as you try to use it; they plastic didn't hold up).

I own two of the Kodak instants, but modding it to use instax is a pain in the ass plus you're outta luck if you get one with bad gears 😬

I really wish I could find some film... 😭

The back side of the print should have been black, the color of the developing fluid that is in the lower pouch and spread by the rollers. It appears to have been completely dried up and did not spread much at all. Not surprising after 35 years!

The boarders of the film are 0.45mm and the area where the image is exposed is 0.35mm, so on average it's about 0.4mm.

There actually an alternative to this, some guy on youtube managed to put instax film in these kodak cameras and make it work, it's pretty simple

Hm... This cartridges looks just like instax wide film. Probably you can try use them. In the worst case you can put instax film into kodak cartridge.

Instax Wide doesn't work. It's too wide to fit. Only Square and Mini are able to be used.

Instant film can develop in the light. The Impossible Project film (which is nowadays known as Polaroid, but they recreated Polaroid from scratch when the "real" Polaroid went bankrupt in 2008) was sensitive to light during developing, and modern Polaroid film to a degree too, but old Polaroid, all Instax and all Kodak Instant film can be in the light while developing.
