WILL IT WORK? Cheap Amazon radio install OBS Ford

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

In this video I change out the old radio from my 1994 Ford F150. I got a cheap, $25 Amazon radio to put in it. It has bluetooth and some more modern options like a fancy remote. I had to buy a harness to hook up the radio wiring to the truck. Links for both are down below:

Question, how do I order the correct harness? I have a 1996 f150 and a kenwood radio that I would like to install.

Do you have a video on how to wire everything because I don’t really understand how to do that and can find a video explaining the wire for my 92 f150

Did you buy the adapter for it as well? All you do is just match the color wires.

I have the factory amp in my 1992 F150 XLT, I've tried everything and I can't get an aftermarket radio to have sound. I can't even find the amp to bypass it either.

Good vid...so did this method bypass the factory amp I keep hearing about? Is this the new head driving the speaks directly or is the 2nd connector involved still with the amp...I have the same OEM head you had...thanks

not all of these trucks had a factory amp, the plugs on the back of factory radio are different. From everything I've read, his truck doesn't have the factory amp. Factory amp vehicles, one of the plugs on the back is more of a square shape. Metra 70-5510 is for Factory amp vehicle 70-5008 is for vehicle with factory amp But bypasses Amp. the one he used is for non amp vehicle I believe Factory amp vehicles had Automatic written on door for tape deck. Of course verify for yourself in case I am mistaken.

@@forgotmylogininfo Great description....I went ahead and bought both harnesses but it was the non amp model, 2 rectangular plugs, 1 for power(dimming is omitted) and 1 for speakers....Fortunately I'm a solder geek so clean, no issues, great sound.
