😀😀 I'll bet I'm.your only Welsh subscriber that actually lives in Belarus. It get bloody cold here on a winter's night, as you rightly said. I've seen, more than once, the tractor driver, light a wood fire under the sump, early morning. Go for a cuppa and return 1/2 later... No paint on the engine, but I would start! Enjoyed. 👍👍👍

it is a water-cooled two-stroke engine, if you let it run enough then it also heats the diesel engine and the exhaust manifold has a built in intake to heat the incoming air

Fantastic video ,always worth the time to view & hence why I subscribe. Just wanted to say , I like the way the videos are made, your not rushing through latest subject’s, especially with the crawler film, explaining the machine, showing the 2 engines & what they do , then on to the petrol engine problems, your showing us all what you are doing & explaining clearly & very good clear camera work. Taking the old magneto off & showing us the make up of the components & the faults !!! Most other poorer channels old part off , new part on & that’s it , please keep the way you do things & the format as it’s a winner !!!!! You create the interest in the videos which is a very good lead into the next crawler episode, many thanks enjoyed !!! If you were to do some channel stickers, would like some to help raise the subscriber numbers, thanks Stuart

I had the dubious pleasure of working on some Belarus Dump Trucks (6x4) on a motorway construction site in the early 80's. Very heavily constructed castings from sh*t metal, half shafts kept shearing, but they tended to be overloaded most of the time anyway. Good clutches, well never had to change one anyway. Big V8 diesel engines, no turbo's in those days, manual gearboxes, left hand drive, wooden framed cabs with steel cladding. Very crude and clumsy, but no doubt cheap as vodka at the time!

Cheers Lord Muck, you made a glum day bright wiith another fine installment!. When I was a kid (so in the late 1970's) my dad bought a pale blue Moskvitch. It was a tank of a thing and had the fuel filler behind the rear number plate it ,was a bit basic after Jaguar 420G (long story). Then, as a young bloke living opposite a mill with a big stone built water tower that was scheduled for demolition a big CAT D??? something (Have slept a lot since those days) appeared for the demoltion work along with a large 20+ton Ackerman 360. The CAT D????? had a donley engine to fire that up. The puny little donkey engine sounded rubbish, but the main engine was glorious! Top video young man!

@@LordMuck so was the 2 stroke donkey engine air or water cooled? If it was water cooled did they use the warm coolant to flow around the bigger engine to help warm it up like CAT used to do. Same with the exhaust gases being used to warm stuff up. All else fails you put a can of oil under the oil pan and set it alight. Either warms the engine or burns it out either way it gets hot. Lol

Ever since I have been watching tractor videos my feed has been polluted with dealerships trying to sell their new stuff, I wonder if all these new tractors with plastic parts will last as long as the good old ones! Here in Canada, in winter it is so cold, plastic cracks very easy.
