    CrimSun some of the old kitchen videos are in his kitchen, but in his old house he has also said in his review videos that he had similar stuff but couldn't find it because everything was in boxes as he is moving. It has also been revealed through the twitch streams that the remaining sofa piece now resides in his dads house after the move due to it being in a poor condition and is only used for KZread purposes. The out of date drinks is a good vid if you want to see half of his new dining room.

    The reason for the sour taste in the milk is because the carbon dioxide reacts with the water and creates carbonic acid, which is also created when milk spoils.

  • @lh145

    @lh145

    So technically, could you make something that tastes like froyo, but fizzy? Like cherry and lime, so that the acidity makes sense and it would be delicious? Or will it just actually be spoiled?

    L H it may be possible, there also may be some way to inhibit the creation of the carbonic score in the first place. There are also other dissolvable gasses that would interact differently, though I don’t know if any of them would create a real fizz

    The "fart" noise is the release valve meaning it has reached full carbonation as another commentor mentioned. We had a sodastream 101 in the '80s with the small single serve glass bottles and we always pressurised them until they "farted". One of the worst things you could do was try and re-gas a half flat drink. This caused volcanic eruptions of soft drink when you removed the bottle!

  • @aljowen

    My guess would be that Barry doesn't know how to get the cheap tickets. Essentially book as far ahead as possible, and try a few discount train tickets website like trainline to see where the cheapest deals are at. I have had 3 hour + return journeys that only cost me around £20 for the whole trip. Pretty sure I once got £15 on that route once. I have still yet to have a situation where the train would cost more than petrol or diesel for an economical car (55mpg UK).

  • @bhelish

    Why go through the hassle when a plane is both faster and cheaper?

  • @aljowen

    @aljowen

    5 жыл бұрын

    @@bhelish because the train might be cheaper if you book tickets via a discount service. It's barely any hassle too, just tell the website where from, where too, and if you want to go back again. It will give you prices. It's less than 1 mins effort. (not to mention the huge environmental impact of flying, plus you still have to purchase train/bus tickets from each airport, depending on location) The UK rail system isn't perfect, and for people who daily commute by train I can understand the complaints. But for one off trips, providing you book in advance, the pricing isn't that bad really. Its just that most people get absolutely shafted on pricing because they buy the most expensive tickets available, simply for not checking to see if there is a cheaper alternative. I commonly overhear people on stations complaining to each other about how much their tickets costed for a 20min journey, and often the price they paid is higher than my 6 hours of transport. Because they bought the tickets on the platform, on the train, or direct at full price.

    Sucrose can melt. Afaik it starts to burn around 400-450F, but that's how hard candy is made. They melt a bunch of sugar in a vat, add in flavors and colors, mix it, then let it cool. The temperature that the sugar rises to determines the type of candy. Low temperatures can make syrups and taffy, and higher temps make hard candy. But what he meant by liquid sucrose is that they make a saturated solution of sugar in water, although in the US they use corn syrup, which is liquid at room temp anyways.

    @Rad Derry Barr were the only company I knew of that did it in Scotland, it hung around more as a tradition than anything. Since they stopped offering it I havent seen it on any other products (or at least if it is offered companies dont publicise the fact that it is. I agree it is a great way to cut down on trash as either the consumer will return them (as I did), or the homeless will collect them for the small amount of cashback as I've heard they do in the US

    As a half italian who's Dad was born on Capri Island I have to apologize that these ignorant italians pronounce it wrong. I'm also sorry that my german half made me pronounce "Calamari Fritti" on a way that the waiter staff in "The Newcastle Royal Station", UK had a nice laugh and asked me the whole evening to say it again and again (Hi Amy! :-D ) Anyway we germans pronounce Naples, Milano, Warszawa, New Orleans, Washington on a way that the rest of the world would pee their panties, though we would never fizz up Oxtail Soup.

    Quick addendum: as for the milk and the coffee, carbon dioxide is probably not the best thing to infuse it with. If anything, pure nitrogen would be a better shout. If it's possible to get canisters of that size filled with pure nitrogen, THAT is an experiment for Barry to do.

    2 oz of chocolate syrup(or just put how ever much to taste really depends on the brand), 1/2 cup of milk(2% or greater) , 1/2 cup of seltzer water, recipes and instructions may vary but it's the first fizzy drink and can only be consumed immediately to a couple minutes after making ergo why there's never any in stores. but it's kind of a Malt shop classic.

    In Brooklyn NY we have this soda, it’s called Manhattan special because the bottling plant is on Manhattan Ave, they specialize in an Espresso Soda and when you take the cap off, without failure it foams over and out the top of the bottle, tastes pretty decent tho, only three ingredients, pure coffee, sugar and carbonation
