Indeed a fun concept. Especially when not everyone is on the same skill level in regards to cooking.

Ok, every single time the video cuts to Ashen's waffle maker, its way funnier than i was expecting and laughed every single time. The editing is on point.

It's a good thing Ashens is better at making films than waffles.

12:18 the cut from Barry’s excited “oh my GoOoOoOd” to Stuart’s heavy-hearted “oh, God.” was 10/10

Wooooo Barry and Ashens together again. Socially distance yet still creating wacky things and bringing loads of laughter.

This really demonstrates how much Barry has learned from running this channel for years. The contrast between him and Ashens is great, especially since Ashens normally plays the more competent Straight Man.

The editing of this was so good and being socially distanced made this far funnier , seeing poor Stuart struggling whereas Barry nailed it every time.

I think watching an otherwise bright person muck up things that Barry manages so effortlessly really demonstrates just how good Barry has gotten at cooking.

I feel sorry for Stuart's girlfriend, it sounds like she was happy they had a waffle maker. I think he will have to very quickly buy a replacement after these experiments, although it is good to see Barry and Stuart together again even if it is a socially distanced visit :-)

This was really fun! I liked the cuts back and forth between Barry succeeding and Stuart failing. 🤣

I'm loving this, but it's kinda surreal too. It's not merely a Bashens video: it's like partially an MVK video and partly an Ashens video. And man, what a rollercoaster that was. I was not expecting such a break-neck twist at the end!

And I think he didn’t preheat his waffle iron. The green light only comes on halfway... might be a reason for the mishaps

Amazing video, this is the most I’ve laughed in a while! 😂 The cuts between Barry and Ashens perspectives were just perfect.

I wasn’t sure this was going to work but you guys have such great chemistry (and cooking skill levels... haha) that I was laughing from start to finish!

If you don't like a Pot Noodle because of how Soupy it is, follow this advice; Do not fill to the line, fill until you just cover the noodles and everything is submerged. Do not wait 2 minutes, wait 15 minutes. This gives sufficient time for the noodles to absorb the water, leaving it coated in a rich dense flavourful sauce that's not washed out by the water. If you ensure the pot noodle is covered well in that time, it will stay hot.

Editing on this video is top notch! Super fun video.

The polybius heist is very good for the budget they had. It was definitely better than I was expecting and funny. No, it is not the best film but you wouldn’t expect that. It is however, great fun and lovingly made. Solid 9/10 if you like Ashens humour you will enjoy it

Bloody hell... who’s better at making waffles? The moviemaker with a doctorate and an encyclopaedic knowledge of the ins and outs of 70’s & 80’s culture or the ex builder who’s trademark phrase is “STONKIN!” The answer may surprise you

If there were ever any doubts about just how good of a cook Barry is, this seals it, no real differences in recipes, equipment or utensils etc... just a difference in the skill/knowledge/experience of the cooks and look how different the results were! and that's in no way derogatory for Stuart, I feel like every decision he made was perfectly rational and probably what i would've done as well.

Had I never found Barry, I never would’ve found Ashens. Love both of these guys!

Anytime I have a sticky mess on the waffle iron I fold a thick paper towels to fit on the plates. Add a little boiling water just enough to dampen and close... don't latch. Leave for a day & the gunk comes off.

I know this is only distanced because of the evil rona...but I kinda want more of this style! Especially with the top tier editing, it was even more hilarious than normal!

Ashen's isn't going to a brand deal with sensio home. Barry and Salter however :)

For the latter, I would put "usually" in massive air quotes, because he unfortunately doesn't do it anymore since his blowtorch ran out of fuel and he refused to refuel it.

Ashens deserves good tasty food after stuff like this. Once the house has been fumigated and the kitchen appliances scrubbed and his stomach has recovered that man deserves to be spoiled.

what a great treat after a night of work, and a good way to start a 4 day weekend :p

Poor Stuart has to stare at a feed of Barry's camera the whole time.
