Welcome Back folks! In this episode of "Will it Run?", we bring an old neglected dirtbike back to life. Enjoy!
The KZ650 Turbo Nitrous Apocalypse build will be returning to the channel this year; it's going to go back under the knife, this time with a proper TIG welded Exhaust Manifold.....and possibly a supercharger! Also, we're going to converting the Suzuki GS400 to EFI, and in the Process, switching to a Twin-Turbo Setup; a complete EFI how-to conversion is coming to the Patreon this year!

Grind Hard Plumbing did a video where they installed a recluse clutch on Senderella which is a barbie jeep with a dirtbike motor in it, and if you didnt know that chanel existed before now then im sorry to your family who wont hear from you for at least 2 weeks

@@jmoss9991 Their videos of installing the turbo on the Barbie Jeep were one of the original inspirations for doing my first turbo builds. I'm still subscribed to their channel but for some reason never see their videos on my feed. Time to binge again!

I went thru the same thing and could never get it to start correctly, nor run right when it did start. These years WR's were just a nightmare. Never had such issues on any of my other brand dirtbikes. I sold the headache a long time ago. Glad you got yours sorted.

The 5 valve Yamaha's (all of them really) were prone to having the timing chain jump and mis-time the engine, which is why in the video, I made a point to double check that the timing was correct. If it was pooping and backfiring and had no power, that's probably what happened.

@DoctorMotorcycle On my Wr450, I went thru verifying timing multiple times. Yup, even a new timing chain didn't help. Valve lash too.

I have the same bike and i cannot kick it over simply standing next to it. Im 230lbs and i need to be on both pegs. And you had better have boots on because it will destroy your foot. I don’t know how yours is so easy. Good vid.
Good job. Rarely have to downsize the jets.

Thanks, it was over jetted due to the float height being incorrect, and missing the o-ring on the fuel screw.

What exactly did you drop that carb in an ultrasonic bath? Any solution added? My FCR looks like junk it’s one of the worst carbs shape I’ve seen lol wouldn’t mind getting one of those or finding access to one

Yeah for sure, people have the habit of jetting them incorrectly though like the bike in the video (usually overly rich), which can actually make it harder to start. Personally unless it's a 2 stroke I'm very partial towards e-start only, especially on a trail bike.

do you build bikes for "customers"? id love to bring you my 74 cb750 rat bobber for a run through. i wanna do a turbo or twin turbo, not looking for speed since its a chopped up hardtail, just miss the tsuutsuutsuu but dont wanna turbo my low mile ae86 XD
