Hello Mr Hopper, these saws are the same like the Husqvarna 40 and 45. They have the same cil and piston like the brushcutter 240r and 245r too. They can be good runners but be aware of air leak on the clamp surface. If I were you I would build 1 out of 2 with the best parts. Sometimes when they became to hot the plastic bottom case melts and deforms which gives an airleak to. Also the plastic intake where the carb surface meets, can be become unflat, so an airleak can occur there. Most times it is resealing the clamp surface, the sealant disappears by age. So have fun with them.

Poulqvarnared is what it is. My 2245 Jonsered is a 340 Husky under the skin. My Jonsereds 49SP is a true old school Jonsereds. As a rule of thumb if it's a Jonsered it's a Husky. Jonsereds is their own saws from the old days.

Nope try again, a Jonsered 2245 is a Husqvarna 445 rancher and the 340 Husqvarna is a Jonsered 2140. You are correct though in that when the name was Jonsereds and had the "S" at the end they where their own company until they sold out, then the name was changed to just Jonsered. After that they shared pretty much every internal part with a Husqvarna sister saw.

If there's such a thing as a Jonsered 2245 then there's a Husqvarna 445, here's their currant line up in their rancher series; 440 445 450 455 460 465. Here's a fun fact Jonsered sister saw's 2240 2245 2250 and 2255 the two bigger ones were never made in red. @@johnhartmann4762

Most but not all of the Jonsered "2000" series saw's where of Poulan design, for example 2040/45/50/54/55/77 and 2083 where just red and black Poulan's. (the 2063 2065 2071 Jonsered where Husqvarna cross overs ie early 362 365 special and 362xp) That's when Husqvarna/Electrolux bought out Poulan, it was a transition period to meet anti trust rules at the time; that's why they built a red and black Jonsered version of a Poulan. A lot of these saw's have sister saw's in the Poulan line that's what make's them sort of odd duck's. By the time Husqvarna came out with their full line of "300'' series saw's then most of the Jonsered sister saw's where the "CS2100" series, they shared almost every part between the two except plastic's that's it; but you already know that part I'm sure. Anyways take care.

Yes there was a few Husqvarna version's of those Poulan's but not as many, Jonsered got stuck with most of them lol! Anything smaller than the 2054 had the plastic "clamshell" crankcase and was homeowner or farm and ranch grade. Anything above had magnesium crankcase in semipro and pro model's ie 2054 detuned semipro and 2055 pro model. There was also a couple of top handle model's in there in both color's but I don't remember which one's. @@thomaslindroos1667

Like most saws of that era it starts and ends with partner.

I'm going to try and build something to cut the bearing pockets in clam shells. I want to build some 250s and some others. Thinking something like a adjustable boring bar.

Maybe carb with worn accelerator pump, as far as I can see it has a zama. Hope for you the other one has the walbro..

Husky 49 and partner 490 are the same saws

I have a 2054 turbo that is similar to this. Yes, carb is designed to frustrate anyone who needs to work on it. What were they thinking? I got mine at a yard sale, but haven't gotten it up and running yet. Thanks for vid!

I do have a a few oem 026 cylinders if you need one for my other build

2040 jred is the same as poulan farmhand 2500. This is the kind of info i have in my brain it’s pretty much useful to noone.😂

Not even close the Husqvarna 350 sister saw is a Jonsered CS2150 turbo, pretty much all "300" series Husqvarna's are direct cross over's to Jonsered "2100" series saw's.
