Most definitely restore. To get running after only spending $100 is a blessing!
Oh ! You guys definitely need to get this moving under its own power then try it in the water ! This is the kind of things we love ! This project is very cool so please keep going with the next two or more if necessary but don’t stop until it’s even painted, this could be your back woods and swamp search buggy 👍👍👍

I'd love to see a part 2 to this episode! I'm especially interested to see how that jet pump works, and whether it actually is usable in the water.

I'd love to see these 3 Genies from the beet bottle actually tell ppl what the hell they R working on... Polaris made the their MUD DUCK we had one on our farm cost $4,000 back in 1973 but it was a twin stick on gunwhale to port and one side of the driver and it sat 6 very comfortably. The back 2 seats had the engine dog house. The engine was a 4cly inline I think it was 4Cyl Ford motor... I could be wrong but it was this bright metallic red color like a boat would be. It was much much larger than that one they have. Ours did have a steel underneath for mounting a transmission and twin props, My dad and uncle talked about it all the time. Ours did run & drive and floated... The sticks turned the wheels was how directional control was made/
You gotta get that thing moving /driving.... If only for the Banana Splits memories... 🙏👌
My grandfather had one, he owned a car repair shop and junkyard, it was 18 acres of car's back in the 30s through the 70s. I will never forget the time he took me in the water with it, I was around 7 years old. There was a TV show back then called "the banana splits" they had one as well. Edit: I'm now in my late 60 s. It was a great time to be alive back then. It was called an Artic cat. Git er dun boys.
I say continue now that it will run (that's the hard part) chains are easy to make and the most expense will be tires. Start with 4 (one each corner) if you're nervous about it. These are generally collectable and if it will run and drive and float...you won't take a loss of money and probably make a nice profit if you sell it. Thanks for sharing this one (I'm a small engine guy and restore old and oddball karts and bikes)

No chain here no chain there. Like a long boring bondage movie...
Definitely get it all mechanically functioning. I'd love to see it go with that little jet pump!
Anybody remember "The Banana Splits" TV show from the late '60's? Looks like one of those rigs. It was either Drooper or Snorky's rig I'll bet!

Yep , That was the earliest tv show I can remember watching in the 1970-s as a little fella, because of those little 6 wheelers, cheers thanks for the memories, will have to KZread them now 👍🇦🇺
It takes time to fix things it hasn't been run for quite a while I think you're doing a great job like to see them done
They are very fun to operate ,can't wait to see this one completed and moving. 👍
Well, we've all sat and watched it this far so I guess I for one would like to see the project be taken to the next step of making it all work. THEN try to float it. It's a fun project, but probably not a money maker. Sometimes you just have to do a project for fun and to gain knowledge. This could be one of them.
The funny thing is, just a week ago I was reading about these vehicles. These are from the the early days and are part of what led to the modern Side by Side. Needs a full clean and restoration, there are countably few left.
I originally started following Shawn after I saw him in Josh's mud buggy adventure video. Only rule was bring a car turned into a 4x4. And Greta was definitely the most unique ride in the group
One of my favorite channels, and by far one of my most favorite revivals! Hope to see a series on this one!
You guys take on the seemingly impossible challenges!
That was cool..i liked that! Something different from the old car stuff..everyone does that. 2 thumbs up!
Beautiful boat ! First time to see one like that ! And of course love to see it fully restored again ! Thank you all .
I like the way you talk to each other and handle each other. There's no arrogance or trying to be above the other person like there is on a lot of the restoration channels. And you're not trying to be "funny" or special; just getting on with it the best you can.

Another awesome video guys.cant wait to see the little buggy bouncing around.keep up the fantastic work.take care.GOD bless you all 🙏 John from England
@Mustie1 did one of these years ago and retrofitted a different engine. These are well worth the efforts.. looking forward to seeing more of this project 😀
Yeah I'd love to see them running
I enjoyed watching this video. It’s fun to watch both of you guys figure out what steps to take next. I would like to see this vehicle drive from lane onto a body of water.
Be awsome to see you guys running around a lake or pond on it
Definitely worth a restore
Well, I'd like to see it run now that you've got us hooked, but I really like seeing you work on cars, trucks, and tractors. It is always fun to see an engine run again after years of rust though!
Getter rolling again! See if she floats!
I’m hoping to see more on this project nicely done though 🇨🇦
Really nice to just watch you working with your Dad. Great projects and successful efforts.
I would love to see you guys save this one and do a full build on it!! It would be well worth it
Man you guys are surely not afraid of a challenge, cause this is a big one ... looking forward to a part II
These are so cool! Awesome delivery, love Gretta, and those Hustlers are definitely worthy of a restoration, well one anyway, look like much fun, keep up the great content guys!
I would say go for it guys. Have done a awesome job so far runs and sounds great. Buy a roll of chain and make your own for the awesome ride. Love the show and don't miss a episode 👍👍. You guys and gals do a great job.
You guys are awesome! God Bless!
LETS SEE MORE! WOULD LOVE TO WATCH YOU GUYS TAKE THIS PROJECT ALL THE WAY TO COMPLETION.
I demo’ed one of these brand new when they first came out. If I remember it had a JLO or a HIRTH single cylinder 2 stroke. It struggled to turn on hard ground and ran very hot.
You guys with your relaxed nature are going to give me a nervous breakdown lol. It's like therapy, keep up the good work!
Had or should I say? My father was given a terrain tiger 6x6 in the late 60's because the original owner flipped while driving in a terraced cornfield and didn't keep the power up and it slid backwards and he over reacted, punched the gas causing it to flip over landing on both of them breaking her shoulder and his forearm! The centrifugal clutch can be MOFO going up hill underpowered! But it was a hoot in the winter especially after Fox River froze over! Hell we even hunted out of it for pheasant in the test corn the Quaker Oats Company left standing during the winter in N. Barrington at Kelsey Rd & Rt. 14 that tiger could go anywhere! It was badass! Great Find!
Hello from hurricane ravaged Sarasota Florida. There's a bunch of 6x6 laying around down here. Some guys put jet ski engines and pumps in so they could go faster in the water.
I have the same CCW engine in my 1969 fox trac snowmobile. Fun video I enjoyed it
You guys decide to scrap the build, I'll be glad to finish it. Next time you come to Shanks, bring it. I live shortly down the road. Love watching you and your dad.
Definitely restore at least one of them. They are a all purpose ATV , land and water. Not much ground clearance for serious off road but a pasture down to a pond or creek .
I'm looking forward to you guys moving ahead with this project. I think the "fun factor" will be fairly high with these ATVs - and once the first one is running and moving, the second one may be easier to work on.
Walboro carbs were the curse in that generation of engines. You couldn 't possibly expect those okdaxles and rotten chains to turn

I definitely prefer Tillotson carbs
Yeppers a nother great video guys! I would love to see y'all get this babe back to full send! I hope y'all continue with this swamp buggy! Truly enjoy your family and your videos!!💪😎👊
100%! Please get this old gem moving. I remember seeing these running around once and a while when I was a kid!
“Especially once you hit the water” i like dad’s optimism
Definitely want to see you get this fully functional again!
cant wait to see them fully restored, great job
I love these Hustler 6X6 ATVS. They’re so darn cute and adorable
Definitely try to get this thing running.
This thing deserves a complete restoration. New belts, chains, tires, rust protection on the frame, etc. Maybe even some upgrades.
I absolutely love that slammed GMC school bus! Sooo dope!!
1:20 love that slammed bus behind y'all
Can't wait to see this progress to the next step! 100.00 was awesome deal..fully restored value $$$
"Well now we"ll never know how much fuel is in it!" Great video
Please continue with this project. Would love to this up and running with the jet drive in the water.
Looking forward to Part 2 through completion. Getting these running and working again, at least one of 'em would be fun, and probably worth your while. A vehicle like that would work well in many parts of the country, including where I'm at, in the salt marshes of Virginia's Lower Eastern Shore.
100% up for seeing this restored and back in the water
As a kid from the 70s i remember these big time ,,Was something that the kids from parents who had money would buy ,,was always in love with these ! Great find and u got 2 ! Well kind of ,,lol
Looking forward seeing more videos on to these vechiles and enjoy more on them to RESTORE Crew :) lots fun having too ! Teaching all 3 people plus with new skills too and very good information to!
Nice! I would love to see this thing in full working condition. When I was a kid my neighbor had one of these. What a blast it was to ride in!
Great job guys! Nice to see something different and unique getting work done on it. I want one to run around in the river on
Please restore this beautiful machine there’s a lot of potential in the ol girl!! Loving the content guys keep up the great work ❤
Get er moving !! Love it guys!
Hope you guys keep on working on the ATV'S. To see it going in the yard.
You guys are awesome. You need to finish this thing. Didn't know there were any 6x6s that were jet propelled in the water. I have a Max II 6x6.
That was a fun one. If you want to flip, i bet the guys at Bikes & Beards would Love a project like them. Ty for taking us along
Luv this stuff..that's why I love Mustie 1s channel also ,makes my day ..
Love to see more on this. Love these sort of restorations. Even if is updating everything with modern parts and drivetrain. Im open to any of it. Old or new
Get it finished. It would be cool to see it on the water.
Nice work! What seemed a rusted together basket case was slowly trimmed down one issue at a time. You guys went much further into the restoration in one episode than I figured you could without a lot of replacement parts. Tube the tires - chains, bearings and seals next!
As a kid in the early 70's I saw these on tv and dreamed about having one.
Great job getting it running! Yes I say go for it, all in! Let's see these in their former glory.
You have to finish these. They are awesome. Another great video.
Those things are a blast. Definitely get them going. You will enjoy them
That's the first one I have seen with a jet pump for water use. Smartest idea anyone could have come up with on one of those things. Go for it. I'm sure you will find lots of leaks... axle shafts etc when you hit the water, but it will be worth it. Those things are worth a lot in running condition if you can even find one. At least that is the case around here.
Guys everything is not just cars and trucks , working on everything including boats and amphibious craft makes a well-rounded mechanic , that you guys are already there.. now you just sharpening your skills love your channel !!!! Joe USN 75
Cool project! Also like seeing those 2 Rowe R93's in your shop. Brings back lots of memories for this jukebox guy
Love it, saw one back when I was in High School around 1973. Very cool then, great seeing the insides now to know what it looks like. I'd say keep going, ok it runs. Now will it "WORK or FLOAT"????
You really need to take it to the next phase and get that machine back on the road and in the water. Great progress so far but don’t leave us hanging 😁😁
Definitely get it rolling. I bet the 2 foot pedels turn the jet left and right same as the handle bars do for on land. Can't wait to see the next video.
I had an ATV back in the 60s/70s. It was called the Scrambler. It was a lot of fun and my kids loved it. The trans went bad, couldn't find parts for it because it was a prototype.. They made many different ones in Elkhart, Indiana, my home town.
Love to see it running and what it will do in the water
Keep going on this guys they would be great in the summer.
This is one of the best will it runs I have ever seen Thanks and God Bless you3 are the real deal
I see a keeper here. Fingers crossed with the transmission. Some fiber glass patch where needed. A Jeff Barron camo paint job with spray paint. You got yourself a fishing platform for running through the wood trails.👍😁
I vote for a full restoration on it what a cool vehicle.
I remember these from the BANNA SPLITS CARTOON!
Another Masterpiece! NEXT!?!?!
Yes you definitely need to get it running and driving.
You and dad are so great never miss a video I want to see you get them both running great video.
I think you will have to get floating with these. Just image Christian at the front with her camera! Very good when you've got it all set up!. Thanks guys...Cheers from the UK.
I am loving the classic juke boxes in the background. I would love to have one of those one of these days.
RESTORE! RESTORE! RESTORE! Please! Those would be some great videos! Entertaining AND informative!
Good job, you two got that thing running !that thing is cool, old school fun.
Just came across this video. These old hustlers are awesome. If I remember correctly that is actually a jacuzzi brand jet from the factory. I want to say that's JLO two-cylinder two-stroke. It definitely makes these old behemoths move. I'll definitely be on the lookout if there are other parts to the series. Great video by the way.
That is a centrifugal clutch. Here in Maine we cane usually find older snowmobile engines like the one you have. The recoil pull start needs some lube. And you can order a snowmobile belt from eBay.
