The H-2 was not as highly tuned as the 1971 500. If the 750 had the tiniest glitch on launch he would not catch me in a 1/4 mile.

@@edarmstrong9389 That's true! The H1 has 60hp and the H2 had 75hp. If the cc for cc output were the same, then the H2 should have 90hp! So, the bigger engine is a softer tuned engine . . And it was easy to get more power out of the H1 by changing manifolding and exhaust baffling and ignition timing, but that ALSO took away even MORE low speed torque than ever, making the H1 then a 5,000 to 7,500rpm ROCKET!

They are one of the coolest 500 triples ever made, l would have draged that off and done a full strip down and nut and bolt restoration, these old H1 500 triples are now getting very rare and so cool especially with a good set of pipes and KN Filters, can't beat the smell and the sound when it hits the power band on the pipe.

It's a very collectable motorcycle. The thing to obviously do is just put it on a cart and get it to the workshop, entirely strip it down, rebuild and replace etc. A huge cost in effort and dollars, but I reckon for this one it's worth it.

Man is that "Kow" in rough shape! Flash back: My dad.bought the first Mach Three, imported to Canada in 1969 (Korcan Motor Cycle, Vancouver British Columbia) He bought it, rode it, and raced it. Then my oldest brother started racing at 16, at which that was his first race bike. (Westwood Motorsport Park) When I got my bike license in 1976, I road it. That thing was stupid fast fun Also to mention, that thing vibrated so bad, you would lose the blood in your hands! Not very good for long rides as i found out! Anyways, cheers from British Columbia 🇨🇦

Aside from which, I keep both on hand, and have never once been unable to break a bolt loose with the deep creep, and then had any better luck after applying PB. So why would you go all fangirl over PB when it stinks like hell? I understand having faith in a brand that has worked well for you, that's all well and good, but let's not take brand loyalty to the point of letting ourselves be deluded that there aren't alternatives that are as good or better.
