Sawdust and ice is incredibly strong. During WW2 the allies named it "pykrete" and planned on building an enormous aircraft carrier out of it to park in the north Pacific to launch heavy bombers against Japan. It would have been impervious to torpedoes or aerial bombardment. The project was abandoned after the unexpected success of the "Island Hopping" campaign got B-29s withing striking distance from the pacific islands.

98sobi Wrong! All from memory and knowledge. I'm sure you're aware, but facts did exist before the internet. But, if you get your knowledge from Wikipedia, there is nothing wrong with that. Statistically it is more accurate than a text book due to the continual vetting process. It only provides an superficial overview, though. Wood Pulp mixed with Water and frozen is called *Pykrete* and is stronger then normal ice. I remember an episode of Mythbusters where they made a piece an inch or less thick, it was strong enough to hold Adam several feet off the ground, even while he was jumping on it. I was honestly shocked you were able to bite into it without breaking your teeth!

silveryblizzard There's a reason for that. Artificial banana flavor is made after a strain of banana that's now either extinct or very very close to extinct. It's not meant to taste like 99% of the bananas on earth.

little known fact, is that the reason they couldn't bite through the sawdust one is because sawdust and ice together is a composite material called pykrete, which is almost as strong as concrete, making it almost impossible to break with your teeth.
