I mean he's grown BUT a 20-something with a middle age woman...It's always creepy when one partner is waaaaaay older.

I'm sorry, but that's a huge red flag not to tell the family of the age difference. I would insist they tell or do a face time with the family first to feel comfortable and not shock everyone.

It sounds like he's not used to standing up to his mother which will definitely affect their relationship if she decides to be rude to the girlfriend.

He should have taken responsibility for having the conversation with his mother/parents and/or family ahead of time, so she isn't the one presented with the whole family "right in the face" in person. As far as if they accept her, that isn't her problem, you can't control other people, it's none of her business what they think, you can only control yourself, show up with grace and class. But that said, he should have put on his grown up pants, and known to talk with his family first in order to not have any shock placed on her in person.

Hopefully someone will get the family to realize that boy is just in this for the fun . …. maybe this lady is real independent too and the boyfriend just really enjoys the chill relationship but it sure as hell ain’t forever .

As his mom. I would say the same thing. The opportunity to have kids and down the line, this will become a problem.

Seems pretty naive of her for having more life experience. Why wouldn't he tell his family first so that he knows if they'd even want her to join them? His mom might be totally against it in which case she's going to have a bad time because her boyfriend sounds like he's afraid of his mom, even if he says he's not a Mama's boy.

If you are two timed divorced that is a problem.

My FIL is dating someone younger than my husband that has a daughter the same age as our daughter........it us very uncomfortable for all of us, not gonna lie, especially with how easily she spends his money. Maybe if we thought she was actually in it for the right reasons it wouldn't be so bad, but that is obviously not the case. Usually that much of an age gap is a red flag.

He may not want children though.... I'm sure they've talked about that, or at least I HOPE they have, 9m in and with one in their 40s. At the end of the day, if the mother wants grandkids that's not his responsibility x

You guys. Its just as equally his choice as it is hers. I was 26 (M) dating a 69 year old (M) for a few months. And no I wasn't a gold digger. It was chemistry and I was attracted to him. The only reason why we stopped dating was i had to act like his farm hand (i was dating a farmer) when his son unexpectedly dropped by.
