Really? I found it kind of relaxing to process. I played crossword puzzles while removing the kernels from the cob. I might be weird though. • @DiggingForHealth

I thought so too! They're so pretty! I've gone back and forth on the popcorn thing. On one hand popcorn kernels are really cheap from the grocery store, even when organic, and the corn stalks take up a decent sized area in the garden but there is something really satisfying about growing my own. So to answer your question I think I will continue to grow a small patch in the garden but only if I don't have something else I would rather plant there. I'm glad I know how easy it is to grow now!

I treated them exactly the same when growing and I didn't notice any difference there but if your end goal is to grow your own popcorn I would stick to actual popcorn varieties because glass gem doesn't compare when it comes to how well the popcorn pops but if you want to grow a corn that can be popped, made into a flour, and is pretty enough for decoration then glass gem is great!
