Thank you. It still not the funniest skit ever but at least that explains the idea behind it. I was scrolling through the comments to see if I was the only one not getting it, and it turns out most people didn't get it either. But just seeing Will Ferrel fanboying in front of Ryan Reynolds seems to be enough comedy for most people (of which a good half actually do believe that this was real) so I guess why bother writing proper skits he?

@@loueneu Other than Brad Pitt sitting in Ellen's audience I don't know why people should be in on the joke unless they've actually seen the Ellen skit. You're banking on the notion that 100% of the people watching this skit saw the Brad Pitt and Ellen one. The Ellen one must not be that great of a skit if no one mentioned it here in the comments.

Alright, that’s a good example of famous people in the audience. This is a different style of that though. This is more of an organic “oh my god I can’t believe it’s you!” Style, which is what the Ellen and Brad Pitt skit (or possibly organic, I dunno) was.
