    Mixing red meat with processed meat is the same mistake as this research does with “fake meats”. If you read original article on “who” and then meta research this article based on, you will see that in most cases research was done on processed meat or processed meat+red meat. Research only on red meat in “normal” amounts (not 300-400g of red meat per day) doesn’t show bad effects for health, or shows effect that linked with other sources, not meat.

    @@scienceislove2014 type 2 means not carcinogen. Well, it actually means “probably not carcinogen”, but for something so well-researched and eaten basically anywhere it means exactly that. Yes, theoretically if you eat on average 350+g a day you will have problems, but this is very high dose if you are not on a carnivore diet. So saying that dozens of studies are rising concerns for red meat is not really true.

    @@exaris1989Was the research on grass-fed red meats, or grain-fed meats? There's a huge difference between those two, it might not be processed but they still feed cows with processed grain product. As far as my knowledge about Meat, red meat is not bad for your body in the amount of 350g - 400g, it actually heals your body, (intestinal health in particular) from all the artificial toxins trauma you've put your body through. I've never seen or even heard of a research saying that grass-fed red meat is bad for you, it may give you diarrhea for a few days if you suddenly go full carnivore, because your body is trying to adapt to the carnivore diet, it is recommended to go easy first and not go right into carnivore. I'm against that crappy soy fake meat propaganda that is being talked about. Vegans complaining that the investigation about processed meats are not being visible anymore and that their fake soy crap meat are healthier.

Also I don't think the data reflects that meat eaters live longer, in fact one of the more famous studies vegans love to cite on longevity, is the China study (which I have my criticisms of tbh) and the Okinawans ate a mostly plant based diet and had the longest lifespan on average. They had the most people to live to be over 100 on earth when their cultural diet was almost completely plants. While vegetarians & vegans consistently seem to have a lower chance of heart disease & certain cancers on many many studies? I'm actually not a vegetarian anymore, I was for 20 yrs & vegan for 4, but I just think you're wrong & want to make you think. I mostly eat vegetarian anyway, despite not being one.

    my dad last weekend asked me to check out one article and tell him what I think about it. the article in question (written in Polish FYI) was theoretically based on this study, but it was soooo much worse than the articles you've shown. instead of claiming that it's the meat alternatives that make you sick, it said that it is lab grown meat from Bill Gates' laboratory and burgers made out of bugs(?!). what in the actual f*ck??? I knew right away that something was not right, I thought that they probably fiddled with data to get to such conclusion or something like that. but when I found the original study and it didn't mention lab grown meat at all (let alone Bill Gates or bugs xD), I was shocked. it's really scary to think that thousands and thousands of people like my dad just believe this stuff when they read it, especially when they don't know English and are unable to verify anything for themselves. he is not an unintelligent man and I know that he is intelectually honest, and it makes it even more terrifying...

  • @user-nz4un6se7y

    @user-nz4un6se7y

    Ай бұрын

    It means something one's evolvled in. If you look at the history of our species you could notice e.g. we've lived however long in the presence of oxygen. Given the evolution, our bodies might or might not have got a dependence of some sort on it. This necessity is a spectrum and can vary from something we have to have in order to survive or simply beneficial. From here on different methods can be used to assess this information. So when you hear "it's natural for us to breathe oxygen" it simply means "We've been conditioned by the presence of oxygen to have the structures inside our bodies that require it. With oxygen we know this dependency is absolute and happened x years ago (when incorporation of mitochondria happened)". What exactly do you not understand here? I know the word natural sometimes means literally everything because everything can be seen under the umbrella of nature but it's not the case here. Here, natural is object specific i.e. what's natural for some, might not be for others.

    Could you please do a reaction to this video by Chris Williamson title ''The Awful Consequences Of Raising Your Child Vegan - Max Lugavere'' it's a clip of his interview with Lugavere. I found it so disappointing since I have seen many of Williamson's videos and found them to be insightful and well thought out. But seeing that video just made me question everything about him and his reasoning. He even goes onto represent Alex (cosmic skeptic) referring to him as someone who abandoned veganism completely because it was a bad diet (there is way more nuance to the story than that! I would never refer to Alex as a 'failed' vegan, he did his best but in the end it was not practical for him and I respect that). Anyway, would love to see your reaction to this video!

    This is one of very few cases where we don’t need studies, just common sense, that a species that evolved eating red meat while losing it’s ability to digest fiber and plant materials, would not do well eating a diet made up of processed seed oils, plants full of anti-nutrients and toxins, and who’s rate of health and mental issues have skyrocketed as plant based diets have risen. Even if you aren’t vegan, in the US 70% of the products in the grocery store are largely made from plants. AKA processed plant foods. If you look at human biology with the same lense you look at the diet of every other animal on earth, it’s obvious our illnesses are being caused by not eating what we evolved to eat. Can you live on plants? Sure, but you won’t be optimal and will just have more and more health issues as you age. Yet somehow, you eliminate everything other than meat and eggs and your body becomes optimal.

    You are honestly the top vegans who tend to not be so biased and why i like you. I do learn from you sometimes when you keep it neutral. Meat is the healthiest food on earth you can eat, whether vegans accept that fact or not. How is it surprising to vegan that fake processed food like Vegan Mock Meat is unhealthy? The entire notion that stuff like mushrooms or tofu is a respectable animal product replacement is not sound in mind and is anti-nutrition science. The nutrients in meat is completely different and superior than any mock meat a vegan can conjure in the kitchen, or buy from a store. This is why meat eaters live vasly longer in age than vegan and have a far better life expectancy than vegans. This is why i eat animal products to live long and be healthy. If the vegan diet was the healthiest diet to eat i would be vegan, but it is the direct opposite. The vegan diet is lacking in nutrients found in animals products and become even more unhealthy with all that fake store bought vegan meat. Nothing can beat a natural omnivore diet. If you disagree with that statement, please tell me a diet better.

    Studies all show plant based diets to live longer with less disease. The study in this video is comparing ultra processed plant foods compared to unprocessed vegan foods. So eating UPF caused a higher mortality... duh. We all know this, but when you compare the ultra processed plant foods to the non processed meat foods they still come out better. That should tell you something. The study shows non processed plant foods are best, then ultra processed plant foods, then non processed meat, then ultra processed meat in that order. Your comment goes against the vast majority of research we have not only just this study but thousands more.

    @@BM1982.V2 the healthiest diet deemed to be the healthiest globally is a Mediterranean diet, which is an omnivore diet AKA meat eating diet, and not a vegan diet. I agree with you. A plant based diet like the Mediterranean diet which is an omnivore diet and not vegan, is the healthiest. Another plant based diet like the pescaterian diet is also healthier than a vegan diet. Thank you for proving my point. 👍 BTW meat is the healthiest food on earth. That is why vegans have the lowest life expectancy out of meat eaters and vegetarians, while meat eaters live to be the oldest in age and have the highest life expectancy, and vegetarians are the second healthiest longest lived.

    @@GarudaLegends You can Google anything you want and cherry pick what you would like to be true. I just googled "What is the healthiest food?". Most sources that came up mentioned leafy greens and whole grains in the top two spots. Beans, berries, and squash are high on the list. Try googling "What is the unhealthiest food?". Bacon and fast food burgers are top contenders.
