Will Culberson pumps 20 Minutes on a foil -- Uncut Video

On August 23rd, 2022 as the sun was setting on Lake Stevens Washington, Will Culberson set out to set a new pump foil record. This was his last evening on the lake before heading off to college the next morning. His previous record from last summer of 6:25 had been beaten a few times. This time Will pumped for 20 minutes and 2 seconds. As always, thanks to the Devon the Wakethief for the inspiration and for Axis Foils for making such an amazing foil setup!

The family and/or friends cheering from the boat towards the end were priceless!
Keeping the 1310 just above stall speed is the key here. That and a super human fitness level.

The answer is already yes. If you put an Olympic level long distance athlete on the 1310 they’re going 30+ minutes easy!

First, they’ll pump to 29min30 and hit a patch of weeds.

Will, I was wondering, do you use any shim on stab or between the mast and the board a rake ? And also, last year your record with the 1150 was 6 minutes, do you have an updated record with the 1150 ? I would like to know if the theory 1310 = 2X your time on the 1150 is verified with you. Thank you
