I'll never forget the day Kobe died, I was eating Mexican Food and couldn't believe what i was looking at on my phone and in the news feed, felt like a hoax or some mistake. My heart and soul sunk and couldn't comprehend it. I texted my pops because we both use to watch him and admire his intensity and passion he brought to the game. 5 days later my pops passed away at age 50, it was the worst week and worst time of my life as i felt empty for weeks, depressed and sad, until i realized that i have to keep moving forward and remaining strong, my pops was a Marine, I'm currently a Marine as well so i know he would want me to not give up and continue living and making a difference, He and Kobe showed that mind over matter is what gets u thru a lot of things, the Mamba Mentality so i will always remember that about them.

I'd just got done doing an evaluation on water damage..so I went to my work van to get the tools to start working and shit, then I see the customer come straight to my van and open the driver side door and told me Kobe died. I was like WTF, naw...he said yeah I wouldnt lie about that. Then he gave me his phone to show me the news...it was on the TMZ page with breaking news and thats when it hit me. I was stunned, shocked, sad and just bummed out. I told the customer right away I cant to do my job I gotta go..He understood..I cried on the way back to the shop cuz I admired Kobe....and remembered them late nights staying up late as a kid to watch em play.

Let’s not just think about Kobe. He had his daughter, Gionna, there was Payton Chester, Sarah Chester, Alyssa Altobelli, Keri Altobelli, John Altobelli, Christina Mauser, and Ara Zobayan. Always fly high, never leaving our hearts. RIP all💔💫 Edit: Apparently this comment is bothering some of you for whatever reason. Let me say this; I am not invalidating Kobe’s death, I am not trying to be some saint, I am not “like fishing” (in fact my comment didn’t get much likes until like 2 months after I commented). My intention when writing this was to just say RIP to ALL the victims. If you get triggered by that I don’t know what to tell you🤷🏼‍♀️ I am not saying I am deeply attached to all these people, I was simply trying to pay my respects and move on. I’m also not saying everybody should keep the victims in their hearts, if you don’t want to that’s your choice. I can see how my comment came off as insensitive to some of you, but you don’t have to write me a whole essay about how Kobe is more important, or why you disagree with my comment. I wish all of you a good day or night💗

See how he was ok with not picking up the ball in the moment. He was reflecting and in awe you can tell.

Other than Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant was one of my favorite basketball players of all time.. I cried a lot when he died and watching all these videos of players etc.. crying that knew kobe or idolized him makes me cry.. we will miss you kobe.. thank you for all the highlights and memories.. there will never be another like you.. #RIPKOBE and all the others who perished in the crash.. may all of you Rest In Peace
