    Once they drop last gen, it should open up a lot more possibilities, because supporting last gen is still a massive limitation, look at the massive houses with 700 slots that don't fill it. If they needed some more memory for Arcanist, they'll need it for another class too, as well as try to get it working on last gen limitations.

    I have heard this explaination from Zo$ about "last gen limitations" as to why they cannot add new classes. Have they ever commented on why FFXIV (which plays on the sames console) can release multiple classes each expansion? I have always wondered why. I am sure there is a reason but never heard it explained as to what makes Zo$ different. I have also wondered why FFXIV can release their content across all platforms at the time same but Zo$ is unable.

    ive really always wanted a Dwemor tech class that would be my next fave vote for next class. Kind of like GW2's engineer class. You could have pets kinds like the sorc that are dwemor like dwemor spider etc.. would be very cool.

    I find it ridiculous that we can't have more classes in ESO when many MMOs have around 20+ classes e.g. FF14, BDO etc. Other games also let you switch classes fairly easily based on your weapon choice (FF14, T&L). Originally the argument was that ESO only had 3 classes but each class could play 4 different roles: Tank, Healer, Stamina (Melee) dps and magicka dps. Given the way the classes are slowly becoming single-role classes in PvE at any difficulty above normal (e.g. Warden and Nightblade Healer, Necro tank etc.) the devs either have to make more classes or better balance the existing ones.

    And I've played MMOs that don't even have a class system. We don't need pointless bloat of 20+ classes and ESOs class system is great

    Dwarf-tech (whatever it is called) just makes sense for the next additional skill line after scribing’s implementation and integration has been deemed a success.

    I do think they will introduce more classes in the future -However I also would prefer they improve the visuals and sound effects for the older classes first I also would prefer they continue to improve and make changes to skills that are underwhelming - Example I main a warden im at cp1050 right now I love running a frost theme build however the skill line is average - passives are good - ultimate still average I like the artic burst heal, ice fortress for defense/protection, and winter's revenge for a dot, however the other two skills are very niche the shield is used in very specific situations and the frozen gate can be used for tanks but if you're a damage dealer its not worth using. I would prefer they switch one of this skills for example - Allow us to summon an ice winterborn minion like ice-heart that does frost damage and one of the morphs turns him to a melee fighter with more health for 20 seconds then when the timer ends blows up for aoe frost damage. The other morph stays as an archer but can just be it makes them do more damage but only for 15 seconds then blows up for aoe frost damage. This would give you an additional single target dps and is an additional dps slot that isn't from destruction staff skill line if you think thats too much compared to what the arcanist has it wouldn't do much but give frost wardens an additional dps option. - also can we get a damn polar bear skin it makes no sense that the orsinium dlc from a while back had npc bears with the damn white color scheme as enemies. You can also say necromancer and sorcerer deserve better pets/allies. Sorcerer Swap the winged twilight for another daedric minion Necromancer - should at least allow you to have two dead skeletons as melee fighters to fight for you you already have the mage/archer skeleton and the spirit that heals you why not add or change one skill that lets you summon two melee skeletons as troops. Sorry for the extremely long post and rant but good vid man

    100% agree I’d prefer that they work on and update existing textures and animations for classes first and bring them up to par with the quality of arcanist 100% - especially coming from a Templar main :)

    I've always been hoping for an engineer class / tinker. Like using dwarven turrets or gadgets. Something tech focused but not too hi-tech

    Great content! I agree ESO will come up with a new class sooner rather than later. I will enjoy it when they do, I assume. I liked the Warden. Liked the Necro more. Like the Arcanist most of all. At this point, I am confident (scary words to say about Zo$) that whenever they do release a class, I will enjoy it. However can we PLEASE get class change tokens?

    I think they should have one more class. I like all the classes we have but one more would be cool. I'd say a utility-focused class (e.g. crafter, farmer, etc), but too late for that now.

    I’m excited to see what they come up with! No one was expecting arcanist from what I could see.. wonder what the next one would be if they’re staying away (kinda) from prototypical class types

    Dwarven engineer is my top pick , a potion class as there already some npc enemies that in elsewhere that do that and finally a druid as there's already a dungeon boss who is one

    Bard I think would be best as a DLC like Thieving, Dark Brotherhood, or a guild DLC... Join the Minstrels Guild and learn how to play musical instruments. Monks feel like they already exist in the game and just need a martial arts skill line... Either fist weapons or melee staff. So far Engineer really is what strikes me as a better option for a new class.

    I'd honestly like to see them do away with the class system. Make it to where the class abilities turn into something you can swap around with a mentor. You could use the mentors to give the classes actual lore and it would make the armory system even more valuable. It's either that or we get class tokens. I refuse to play any other character. I've put 100s of hours into getting every single achievement in every single zone I touch.

    I'd like to see a Necromancer that feels more like a necro. Yes, we can raise the dead. But one thing we can't do is raise a little army of the dead.

    A Pugilist companion would be one hilarious, two really cool. Also they could do classes inspired from Dungeons and Dragons as well, maybe it’s time to introduce a new race of players. Personally I want to play as an ape or a battle frog character.

    The Dwarven Artificer would make for an interesting class but I can see ZoS selling it as a skin pack for the necromancer abilities(Techromancer Pack lol)- leaping fire pot spider for the new morphs of blastbones, sphere for the wraith like Engine guardian healing you, colossus in place of flesh atronach ultimate, etc. Scribing and Styling open many doors for monetization and customization that a new class would have a tough time improving upon. I think drastic class ability skin alterations are next on the menu and packs of new moves for scribing going forward.

    the flexibility of the arcanist being able to easily swap between stam and mag make it really really easy and fun to play and build for. I'm pretty new and started with a templar and the only other class I've found fun is the NB and I think that has more to do with flavor than anything. i'd really like to see more classes built that way. keep the OG classes as they are for now, and start a next gen set of classes to take on roles and in the future they can always go back and rework the old.

    Yea the arcanist feels and looks incredible - I'd love to see the animations/textures updated for old classes, but outside of that, totally agree!

    Pure theory here, but some classes that I'd like to see: Alchemist/bomber Tinkerer/artificer Bard/speech/illusionist We have Wardens but I think another nature-themed Druid class would be a hit (themed around plants rather than animals) I'd also like to see Vampire and WW overhauled (again) for more options, maybe even add more skill lines to each. I want a Zombie skill line too based on poison and disease damage But ultimately, I'd like to see a yearly update that focuses on improving/reinventing old content rather than generating a lot of new content or systems. The base game is showing its age

    I keep hoping for another stealth based class that is less magic themed. Something that uses tools, skills and maybe simple spells. We have plenty of warrior and magic themed classes but only 1 for stealth. And the lore section and description for night blade in the elder scrolls games even describes it ad a magic based stealth class.

    Scrap the class system and make schools of magicka, weapon, and skill trees. Crossbows, Spears, wands, whips, one hand, gems, short bow, long bow, flail, staves, ninja stuff - after 10 years there are still only 6 weapons. Here is an example: Dk Skill lava whip would have to have a whip weapon inbued with a fire buff. Just think of the variety of weapon combinations and weapon varieties. Enchanting and imbuing would take on a whole new meaning!. You could have pet atronachs, dremora - actual fun things people would want rather than the lame pets they have cornered into class abilities. Pet 'Presence' or "Leadership' could govern how many pets one could summon at at time. All spells and effects could have different effects etc based upon the skill. For example, elemental magic, might start off with some cheap basic skills for the different elements, but then specialize into specific element lines, like fire, or shock, or earth. So you could have a separate spell power and parameter skill, like single target, dot, potency, or aoe size, distance, range, cone, time delayed etc etc etc. then combine the skill effect line with the magicka school effects. Allow casting with something held in hand, not a two handed stave. all the staff skills would be school of magic skills. One should not be able to simply pick up a staff and automatically become a sorcerer in elder scrolls. Imagine the possibility of combinations between magicka schools, effects, alchemy, enchanting and weapons and summonables, etc. Things like major brutality, wpn dmg +20% could be found in one place such as a weapon mastery skill line, where minor and major skills could be found along with other types of skills. Right now, A skill ability is wasted by being reduntly repeated in all the skill class where an ability gives major brutality and sorcery. The whole thing needs to be reworked in Unreal 4 or 5. ESO Character models and outfits need to detail being more attractive, and perhaps 'sexy'. The characters still generally look ok, but the outfits and armor are often terrible. Better graphics and simpler gameplay is getting to be an old trend. One can't forget the absence of underwater swimming feeling like a cheap ripoff when the game was released. Too bad they can't remake the game in a new engine and re-release with imports for existing characters - that would be a huge multi-year project. But the alternative is, if there is an ambitious game company out there actually interested in making a good game, and not something with nice graphics but lame gameplay - to actually make a good game that would kill games like eso and existing mmos. It will eventually happen. With that in mind, remaking a loved game in modern graphics and with new dynamics might be considered a necessary thing for survival in the industry.

    Yea true! I was always curious why they went with the class system over following previous TES titles. I think it was because, as they’ve stated in the past, they used WoW and DAoC as major inspiration points as that’s where a lot of the team came from (DAoC) and WoW was the benchmark at the time (still is honestly!)

    @@Cooperharley0204 I have always held the belief that they were creating this beautiful game world, and races, etc, and some execs told them to get the damn thing released and so they had to scrap together a combat/class/skill system quickly to meet that demand. So they did, but it was what we have rather than what one would expect from elder scrolls - and the same goes for water. So immersion breaking to not have swimming. The hidden underwater dungeon door, or the dungeons with a pool in them, or a partially submerged corridor. And agronians etc to boot?! And of course, the attribute system of Str, Int, Wil, Dex, Etc etc - ESO just flatlines on these things - and the longer the disappointing class system remains the same, the more it is exposed for what it is.

    I doubt it Arcanist will be the last Class. I have no specific Class I would like to see, I would like them to go closer to Oblivions Class system. I miss Class specific skills and level ups.. I know it doesn't jive with Zos's overall image of the game, but it's what I would like to see.

    I would love new classes and this might be a hot take but I think sorc should either be renamed into something else and them actually make a true sorcerer, like compared to just other rpgs the sorc in eso is so underwhelming and that's coming from someone who's a sorc player it's always my favorite character in every rpg but with the addition of arcanist I feel like that's what the sorc should have been...obviously not like using all the green arcanist abilities and it be a copy and paste but change like the beam to be lighting and the morphs can either change it to fire or ice and have the arm thing that you flail at people be an ice ability that slows and shit like I feel like that would have been just so cool and I love the arcanist and absolutely my new main but I feel they need to make a true sorcerer but that could just be a hot take

    Okay... hear me out. A Daedric class. It would tie into storylines so well, have literally all the toolkits for combat and roleplay. I do not think they are done making classes. It's a 2B dollar company and they will do whatever they can to make the consumer happy and that cash flow keep coming. Also, in my own opinion, when they add skill lines I think it would be to add unique, quality of life, things to the game. Bard, dwarven, or other "class" related items won't be added as skill lines. It will fit the narrative of things they have done in the past like guilds, weapon lines, quality of life changes.

    Here's a really controversial take: I think people should be able to use the content they just paid money for on any character of their choice. Starting a new game every couple of chapters is really obnoxious, having to redo settings that aren't account bound for some reason, leveling mount speed from 0 with the scummy time gating system, not earning champion points from the get-go which is an unnecessary obstruction to progress, having to get all the skyshards all over again, skill lines etc... No matter how people spin it, this is intentionally bad game design designed to maximise user engagement with the crown store. I understand why casual players don't mind it, because they may not be fully invested in the endgame content and there is a niche for re-rolling characters, questing, role playing etc... And after completing all the quests in the game, there is little to do so the prospect of rolling a new character can be new and refreshing. I know this, because I've done this multiple times now. But here's the thing, players still have the option to roll new characters whenever they want, but we don't have the choice to be able to engage with the new content on whatever character we want. If a new class comes out that's inherently more interesting than the one we have invested in on a certain character, it's pretty much a death sentence for that character. It's a bit disingenuous when the main take, especially on the forums, from this side of the community is that people should always have to put the work in, when many of us have already put the work in and are at the cap for new characters now. Scribing is amazing because everyone who owns the chapter gets to use it, there's no gatekeeping. So I'd much rather have new class ideas be replaced by new customizable grimoires. I'm against new classes unless they are either made available to everyone through grimoires, or unless a class change token is introduced.

    I have main nightblade, that I put around 1k hours into, and I have so much attachment to it, but the thing is, coming after 2 years break I found that it currently performs in PvE kinda meh. It is said that nb healers are new meta, but, I already have a dedicated healer templar. I played new chapters with my dk alt and it was fun, I always loved dk theme. But I dont have any research traits on him, so if I want to craft something, heck even if I want to UPGRADE my gear I have to switch to another character, put all items in a bank. It is just plain stupid and unnecessary tedious. And here we go again, researching trait that I forgot how long they take to on higher counts. Like 15 days? Really? This thing about redoing all this little but grinding things is incredibly anxious. I feel like I always missing something out if I play on my alts rather than my main. Should I even start the pain of base mount speed of my new archanist? This is just bullshit. After long break you tend to forget all this stupid things that are designed to bring you to the crownstore. And I dont mind paying for a subscription the cost of this things is ridiculous. I cant even imagine someone buying research speed scrolls. 5k for a 7 day speed up on one of the 4 skill lines.

    I don't like the monk, the bard and the engineer and hope we'll get something different. The arcanist was a pleasant surprise. Maybe the next class should also be related to one of the Daedric Princes in some way.

    I agree adding alot more skill lines would be the best route. I would like class stories as well. Like how you learn vampire and werewolf line it makes you feel more connected to your choice and they could have class oriented town or hubs that only that class can go.

    When it comes to tanking, they could explain why a certain class doesn’t use a S & B. In Star Wars The Old Republic, tanks in the game only wield a blaster, blaster rifle, dual blade lightsaber and a single blade lightsaber.

    @@Cooperharley0204 come on man 😁 even before Necrom ppl were arguing the class release was going to be a monk. Then we get the arc that is such a superior concept in every way. ESO devs are way more creative than that. The whole monk thing is pretty dumb

    @@Cooperharley0204 i don't know. ESO is fantasy sure but it also has overtones of class and believability. Throwing mugs of mead at people for DPS and fighting 20 foot tall robots with pugilism is very toy-town and immersion breaking. It's silly. I don't really want that in the game. After the roaring success of the arcanist they're Def going to be future class releases but I would bet money it'll won't look anything like this monk archetype
