Sad to see Kelly’s gone. My family had so many great memories there throughout the years, but can’t wait to see what the new owners do to the place. Great job Joey! Looking forward to more videos and updates and being there in person this summer 😎

My parents brought the family to Wildwood Crest twice, in 1973 and 1975. I never went back. I was 12 years old in 1975 and knew just a few words of English. We drove from Montreal all the way to NJ on highway 87 in New York State and then in the New Jersey turnpike. Everything seems so different from my hometown. We enjoyed walking on the boardwalk after dinner. It was our first time seeing the Atlantic Ocean. I will drive back one day and be able to relive childhood memories. Thanks for sharing.

Many Condo's and remodel of old motels . I remember walking up that 23rd street ramp many times. I worked on the old Sportland Pier. Haven't been back since early 2000. Maybe someday i shall return. Thank You for the tour.

We walked yesterday the new boards are great still some rough spots but much better

I can not wait to ride my Esk8 Endeavor Pro 2 on the boardwalk early early mornings . best ride ever ! I love that wildwood and the surrounding resort towns are Electric skateboard or bike friendly.

A Starbucks is the last thing we need there. Drive through is going to backup into the already overcrowded street by the Wawa and McDonald’s

What happened with the Windward is very sad indeed. At least there's some progress around throwing out the damaged stuff inside. Hope they can restore it and keep the backlit sign which was really unusual.

Joey, can you add the work being done at the end of the roads in Wildwood Crest... near like Louisville to Monterey?

I was on the boardwalk on Apr 1 and man it’s looks good, hopefully they get the other side done soon

Sad that the webcam that used to operate from the Admiral has been taken down. It would have been really cool to see the work in progress on the Madison/Ocean View!

What's going on with the amusement piers

I thought the Madison Resort was going to preserve the Oceanview’s lobby. I was surprised to see it completely gone in the update.

You should have checked on the construction they have on some beaches in Wildwood Crest, they are basically expanding the deck that you have before you go onto the beach and adding in showers, the streets that I know they are doing this construction on is St Paul, Louisville, and Farragut. Would be a great thing to add on your next video

Why is the boardwalk style on this replacement different than the section of blocks done last year? Looks almost like a manufactured wood. It looks great

Amazing how rusted the Kelly's sign was. It's a landmark and like the Shamrock, another one gone, though I had never been in either (not a bar person). I hope the new owners make it more inviting for food and dinner versus a noisy bar.

Icona's 'Bridge Too Far' that used to be the Ocean Holiday. It was supposed to be the Mahalo but it turned out to be unsound for their far too ambitious remodeling plans. This is now the 4th year that it's been gutted and rusting. The Mahalo concept was transferred to a far larger motel on the border of the Crest and Diamond Beach. Icona wants to build out so that the Compass won't have any view. Lousy for the neighbors like the Shalimar and especially the Bristol Plaza which faces directly onto them. And I'm sure the Armada isn't too pleased as they're about 5 feet away from the edge of the former OH.

@DUMBECHOBAND Yes, we stay at the Bristol. They're fortunate in having very loyal guests and they upgraded in the middle of all of this. If the Icona/OH structure weren't bucked up with reinforcement at strategic points, two engineer friends agreed that the structure would have bent and possibly collapsed--there are actually parts that are bending.

NJ DEP stands for NJ Department for Eliminating Progress. I find it absurd that a NJ town has received such little help and such huge pushback from the state that can't wait to collect sales and hotel taxes from the town.

If it's not Camden, Paterson or Newark, NJ government doesn't care. Just look at the marine life washing up on NJ beaches. No one cares.

What is the matter with the state? WTH? It’s probably a lot more complicated and political than I understand. It really bugs me that so much is turning condo. The wood on the boardwalk is so pretty. Nice work. When I was a kid, you’d get tetanus walking barefoot on the old, dilapidated boards. LOL. I wish someone would offer more dog-friendly places to stay. I am sad about Starbucks in WW. I liked the charm of the local places. Also, won’t the traffic be bananas where they are putting that Starbucks?
