Sportland Pier looked abandoned even in 1983 or 1982 whenever this was filmed. Unless this was taken when the amusements were closed for the season. I remember my father riding Hell Hole and I waited outside on the pier with my mom and younger brother (born June, 1978). I was born Jan, 1974, and my father passed March 8, 1986.

Holy Crap Pompeo's I remember that place I wonder if its still there I never go on the very north end of the boardwalk

The Sportland Peir sign is now down from Hurricane irene. I was down Irish Weekend 2011. So sad seeing that sign knocked down and not lite
