Wildlife photography with the Nikon AF-S 200-500 f5.6 and d500

Wildlife photography with the Nikon AF-S 200-500 f5.6 and Nikon D500 at the Cotswold Wildlife park.
Well, it's happened I've got the Nikon AF-S 200-500mm f5.6 and all this after I said I was more than happy with the Sigma 150-600mm, and I was happy with it but I'm not one to refuse a new lens especially when my wife got it for me.
so to try it out I go to the Cotswold wildlife park to try it out in one of the many birds hides and I noticed the difference straight away with the vr being far superior and the sharpness of the images. Although it's much heavier than the sigma ( 2.5kg as opposed to 1.7kg) I found hand-holding the Nikon a lot easier, it balances well on the d500 and the focusing is a lot quicker than the sigma I was truly impressed. I will sell my 150-600mm hopefully to fund a Nikon 300mm prime, but that's at a future date.
I enjoyed my time at the hide following the teal and was really pleased with the images I got.
hope you enjoy the video and feel free to like and subscribe or leave a thumbs down if you wish...
thank you for watching...

What a great stake out and outstanding images Joe, a real tree. Seems like a great hobby for relaxing and connecting with stillness of natural life. All the very best. Harry

It certainly is a great way to connect with nature , it's amazing what comes close to you if you sit still and be patient. But both qualities I'm severely lacking lol...

Thank you. It's taken a while to get to this point with my camera kit and can now say I'm totally happy with it now . I have 3 lenses only, but I am looking to add the 300mm f4 at a later date to replace the sigma 100-400mm which was a really sharp light lens. And great for walking around . Atb

It certainly looks like one, but I find this combo easier to hand hold than the sigma . Atb
