did you shoot the z8 with the latest firmware (2.0)? Also some photos and videos at the end look like the camera/lens didnt hit the eyes correctly. kind of blurry.

Unfortunately not, I passed the camera back to Courier to send to Nikon two hours before the release of the firmware haha. Ah well. Embarrassingly, I exported the wrong batch of images, not sure how but the image before or after the last 2 images were much sharper.....must have been up very late editing haha. You can have a 600 f5.6 at the long end of the Fujifilm 100-400.

Have you tried the 100-400 on the Fuji, would be fair reach?

Sure have, I used to work for Fujifilm. I love the 100-400mm, it's a great lens. I prefer the flexibility of the 150-600. I find 100-400 is sharpest in 100-300 range and the 150-600 sharpest through 150-500mm range. So I feel I get better results from the 150-600. Hope this makes sense :)

I've successfully adapted Sigma's 500mm F4, Nikon's 600mm F4 and 800mm F5.6 lenses onto my X-T5, there's plenty of electronic adapters out there you can get for around $200-350 that will keep full functionality of the AF and all other lens functions and EXEIF data (Fringer is my brand of choice for them), so you totally could have a bright and fast long tele prime in your Fujifilm arsenal to compensate for early morning and late evening scenarios, or if you want maximum optical quality out of your sensor. Bring one of those alongside the 150-600 from fuji for when its plenty bright and you'd be golden :) Naturally, the price you pay is well... the weight. Hah.

why is the X-H2s and XF150-600mm in your Video so bad. In Videos before it was not bad. The Birdface in Video are most not sharp. Sharpness is most behind. What is wrong?

I am just before to bay X-H2s and XF150-600mm, coming from Canon R3 + RF 200-800mm. This was to heavy and big for me, walking around in the Wilderness. But now, I am not shure if the Fuji is save for good Picture and Videos.

Hard to see in the video but the photos and videos are super low light. What would the weight saving be on moving from the R3 and 200-800? Why not get an R5?

@@winfriedNaturvideoFuji is fine for most anything… People struggling with autofocus for birding, are generally bot aware of how to set the crucial (!) custom autofocus setting modes for their uses… for me, on x-h2s, setting it to “erratic highly sensitive”, and in the middle regarding “the duration to retain focusing on the same subject”, is set in the middle - this works fine for seagulls and birds behaving erratically like those - in-flight

@@MOTOJendays the fact that photographers DO shoot wildlife with the Fuji’s with success is enough to debunk your weak postulate. Apparently fuji introduced an autofocus bug of some consequence to photographers in x-h2s version 6.00, that they have yet to fix… I haven’t experienced this bug, rather found the new AF methods to demand other settings.
