Thanks so much Matty. Yes things could be a lot worse. Great weather, location and a daily walk is good for the soul.

Very nice lens that one Colin, you got some great shots mate. Keeping yourself busy is the way to go during this madness. I'm doing some landscaping out the front of my place, adding value to the house and getting fresh air, vitamin D and exercise at the same time. Feeling your pain mate re the lockdown. It can be degrading and you feel helpless, but the main thing is I just keep reminding myself there will be an end eventually.

Yes Adrian we all have to stay positive and keep busy. Not seeing family has been the hardest. Yes the lens is ripper like most brands these days. Stay safe.. All the best Col 👍

Was that a Nick Page video I saw? Great shots and to see North Shelly in a video blows my mind. I spent so much time in my youth surfing that brake and exploring those rocks, I bet there's at least half a dozen good compositions on those rocks as well as around the corner at Toowoon. Cheers Colin, you haven't converted me from my Canon RF 100-500 but you did give me some great nostalgia!

Glad you enjoyed it Davo. North Shelly is a gem and that mossy green rock caught my eye for the future. I believe the Nick Page vid was "Into the Dark" I love anything he does. Yep I use my daughters Canon as well and love it. Cheers mate 👍

Great video Colin good on ya for getting out when possible great for health. Got some nice shots with that awesome lens, love the pelican at 7;49 and the image at 8:00, that reflected golden light was great.

Nice one Colin and great talk at the beginning mate, it's hard for you guys and we are in a week long lockdown which isn't as bad as 6. That lens looks fabulous man woah, and you got some really nice shots.

Yes we do live in a great area that offers us a good variety of opportunities to take pics on our walks. Haven't come across the seal in my travels yet.... Nice pics mate.

Great video Colin! Can relate to all the struggles that comes with being in lockdown ( Melbourne here) but glad to see you got a beautiful area nearby to explore! The A7RIV & the 100-400mm GM is a killer combo! Love the action shot of the dog splashing around! Also the in flight shots of the pelican are stunning! Thorougly enjoyed the experience. Really enjoyed this one mate! I’m curious about what iso you used for those dog photos. Anytime I try and shoot with a shutter speed of anything over 1/1000th, I tend to get highly underexposed shots unless I raise my iso substantially, even with good light. I Look forward to the next one! Cheers

Hi Ethan, thank so much for watching and your kind feedback mate. The morning of the dog shot was extremely bright and I had an ISO 800. The Sony A7RIV seems to handle higher ISO. My main focus was to have them(dogs) sharp first and if I had a little noise due to the higher ISO fix it in post. It's always a trade off Sharp Pics - fast shutter but the higher ISO can create some other issues. All the best Col

Cool vid but the fact its filmed in just 720p means we cant fully appreciate the image quality like when i watch a higher resolution review. The locations look awesome though

@@colinstalker ye I think the A9 with 1-400 for my dog photography would really be amazing also. And of course mate, I look forward to the next vids, pointing it out perhaps saved your next vids from the same issue lol. My family live in Perth, i'm based in uk, i'm hoping to get out xmas time or early next year for a visit
